I'm glad the ALE-400 frequency is fixed at 1625Hz. There's less confusion; 
you only need to let the other party know the VFO dial frequency ;  )

The initial standard (for ALE and ALE400) frequency is 1625 Hz, but you can 
choose another frequency in ALE400 (in ALE (141A) it is better not to change 
this initial frequency).
