Re: [digitalradio] Using logger 32 for PSK operation

2006-01-12 Thread Ron Walters
When you see the call in the window left click on it and it will
automatically transfer to the logging screen, not the log book file yet,
that happens when your done with the QSO, there you can also transfer
the name and qth and state, lotw et, just highlight the text and right
click I think (Its automatic now with me and I am not positive, hi ) and
it will give you the choice were to transfer the text, it is smart
enough to know what you are transferring so when you click on name do
not be concerned that the menu did not show state, when you highlight a
state it knows but still gives you a choice but now state will be one of
the choices, amazing. The QSO start time will not occur until some
additional data is enter, focus shifts from the call to the rst or name
or QTH et.

When the qso is over you can have a macro send the info to the logbook
or you can just hit the enter key will focusing the mouse in the log
area. The the data will transfer to the book.

Its all explained in the help file.

It's one of the best Logging programs out there and you will enjoy it
very much. Has so many features, I do not know where to start other
than to say read the opening comments and operating section in the help
file, you will not be disappointed!

Hello,

I downloaded Logger 32 tonight to have a look at the software and
see if I would like to try it for PSK. I have only used Digipan and
I am a little confused, perhaps someone can advise me.

When receiving with Digipan, mouse clicks on the callers
callsign, name, and QTH will enter the details into the various boxes.
Where are the boxes in logger 32 ? How are these details entered ?

Kind regards, Mel G0GQK

Mel,

You will not be disappointed with Logger32. In
addition to what Ron said, you can set Logger32 to to automatically look the
callsign up from one of the callbook data bases or to go out on the internet to
www.qrz.co , www.golist.net or www.hamcall.net I use qrz mself. I think there
maybe a fee for the others. It works great if you have DSL or cable internet
service. I have not tried it with a dial-up. All of this is in the help files.
It takes a while to get everything set up
