Re: [digitalradio] RFSM-8000 v.0536

2009-06-04 Thread Rick W
I notice that they have the 75 bps very robust mode implemented. Has
anyone tried this and compared it to Pactor 3's most robust mode?

Re: [digitalradio] RFSM 8000 Different pricing structure

2008-01-29 Thread Rick
Changing the pricing structure three times in a very short amount of
time gives me concern to this marketing approach. The early adopters may
not have been given a fair treatment or have they been given rebates?

If these releases are 0.xxx, are they still considered to be beta efforts?

Although some hams erroneously think that I oppose other hams or
commercial companies from charging for their products, I want to make it
clear that this is not the case.

My major concern is that due to the drastically changing world we live
in, it may no longer be possible to get enough to pay for software to
arrive at a critical mass and make the mode useful for the purposes we
want to employ.

The standard shows multiple bit rates (3200, 4800, 6400, 8000 and 9600 bps),
but all at 2400 Baud (symbols per second).

Hi All

Re RFSM2400

Dont think it is quite right to say it operates at 2400 baud - it operates
at 2400 bits per second

SEE
http://library.thinkquest.org/27887/gather/fundamentals/bare_basics.shtml

for info regarding bits - bytes - bauds

And Andy - you may well be more confused when you read from the above link
