Position Summary: The Data Warehouse Engineer will work within the
Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team to install, update, maintain, monitor
and support the Enterprise Data Warehouse/Enterprise Business Intelligence
tools, applications and databases to support all Business units. The
individual will work closely in a team consisting of other data warehouse
engineers, business analysts, business intelligence engineers, system
analysts, quality assurance engineers and database administrators in

detailed specifications and unit test plans for implementation. Since EDW
works with multiple business units to create cross functional solutions,
the Data Warehouse Engineer must be able to interface with various business

The individual must be capable of understanding the complex object design
and the underlying data model of the system. The individual must be
comfortable with developing data-centric applications using Netezza,
Informatica, able to develop ETL packages, and is expected to develop
queries and stored procedures involving complex database structures. The
individual must have excellent communication skills, work well in a team
environment, enjoy solving complex problems and be able to work in a fast
paced environment.



Position responsibilities:

all software development meets design specifications, company standards,
and end-user requirements.

•  Ensure the testing service methodology is used appropriately
in all projects and releases, which may require elicitation and cooperation
from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and
other departments

•  Facilitate pre-tasking activities with clients and vendors
and influence team leadership to deliver common goals

•  Liaise with both Program and Technical Project Managers to
understand the project milestones and plan the testing effort and strategy
required for each application/project based on the development approach and
timeline.

•  Identify and coordinate all non-Information Services testing
that impacts or interacts with other testing efforts

•  Participate in peer reviews and conduct assessments (e.g.
review and approval of system requirements and test specifications)

•  Develop and publish quality assurance plans for projects and

application development, support and maintenance teams.
