You might be better off asking on the developer list, rather than here,
but Christian, who provide you with an answer, is one of the people who
builds LibO on Mac, and as far as I know, there are others. As to
whether LibO will be adapted specifically to take account of Mac OSX
Lion's latest and greatest developments / functions, that would seem
unlikely if the build baseline remains Tiger, since many functions have
been introduced by Apple post-Tiger that do not work with that release
of the OS.

There are help packs per language. They contain the help so it can be
used locally. If no pack is installed the online help should open if you
press F1. However if you did install a package that will open.

Re: [tdf-discuss] Help Pack

2011-03-05 Thread RGB ES
Hola, Luis
The help pack contains all the help files you get when going to Help
-> LibreOffice Help (or just F1). On OOo those files came with the
language packs, but on LibO they are a separated download, nothing
more, nothing less.
Saludos ;)

Hi,

yes, that seems to behave similar.

I filed

and
Bug 35040 - No Link to particular External Data

May be you can leave comments concerning your results?

Cheers

There is a sizable community of LibreOffice-on-Mac users, so I expect Mac
support will remain an important priority long into the future. (I am one of
them. However, I'm not a member of the porting team.)

2011-03-05 Thread Bircher Florian
Hi

No the one I used could not be used. But I created on my server a Script
that should answer similarly as the PLC. (no parameters need its just
static)
http://www.unlogisch.ch/testscripts/readVal.exe

For the csv I just created one to test (well it is also static)
http://www.unlogisch.ch/testscripts/test.csv

I did never try on OOo 1.1.4 :-)

It seems for me that the handling of not HTML Import is broken.

Hi,

for

there was a test URL

With this URL function works, When I enter it an press Enter, after few
moments Language selection appears and after that I get a selection
with several html items. All will work.

So it seems that the function can not be completely broken, but it works
worse than OOo 1.1.4, what ever the reason might be.

I would file a bug, but I do not like to publish the confidential link
to the PLC. Can your link be used for a public test?

Eh? How does adding entries in the Windows registry equate to BOREDOM?
What a stupid comment...

did you stop to consider that perhaps the choice of the word "bored"

[tdf-discuss] Data import from a PLC via Net

2011-03-05 Thread Rainer Bielefeld

Hi,

today I found

describing a solution how to get data from a Programmable Logic
Controller to EXCEL.

This would be a very interesting feature for my business, can anyone
estimate whether that also will be possible with LibO?

I did some first tests with a far away PLC connected via VPN, my results
 When I only insert "http://ipnumber/";

OOo 1.1.4 shows the Title of the start.htm page on the
PLC in the cell (if I select HTML_All"

"LibreOffice 3.3.1 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) English UI [OOO330m19
(build 8 / tag 3.3.1.2)]" shows nothing. After some time I will get
selection of language, then available tables will be filled with
"HTML_all" and "HTML_tables". It does not matter what I select, no
contents will appear. I see the link in 'Edit > Hyperlink'

Same bad result with OOo 3.4-dev.

So my questions are:
1. do we have a bug here making connection or data transfer impossible?
2. if connection will work, how are my chances to get data from PLC?

Best regards
