I seem to recall that there was a LWP filter in Symphony v1, but IBM pulled it out with the release of current V3 and stated (at the time of release) that they didn't have any plans to support it any more, which upset a fair number of SmartSuite users. Of course, I meant that code from IBM Symphony (that came from the old Lotus SmartSuite that comes, in turn, from Lotus 123, Ami Pro and other applications if I don't remember wrongly) ;-) Carlo -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to discuss+h...@documentfoundation.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/discuss/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

More than likely the old-school .lwp format we're talking about here is the same basic format as Ami Pro, so http://www.wotsit.org and the "SAM" Ami Pro format is possibly a place to start, and/or the "lotuswordpro" filter in LibreOffice. More generally, does TDF keep specs for various document formats online somewhere? Nope, well in general no. There are snippets about some formats here and there but typically no secret stash of file formats that aren't available generally on the web. C. But... Sorry for my stupid (?) question: if I have not wrongly understood: AOOo code is (or will be) licensed on a license (AL v. 2.0) that permits code migration from AOOo to Libò (LGPL v. 3 licensed), doesn't it? If there is a code that we can point to (and that we'll have to get to improve quality and interoperability) this is surely that of all Lotus native read/write filters!!! Of course! :-) ;-) That code is surely the best place all over the World where getting out not only the Lotus file spec (if any or written by reverse engineering the code), but the code and the filters themselves too!!! Surely, and by definition, that opens and writes the last Lotus file format too... So I say that we could now focus on other (quality related) things and activities and when we will see the right moment, we get the code. What do you think about?
