I talk about the problem that Libreoffice looses formatting and font information f.ex. about font weight/style, after saving and reopening the same document. The style in document is reset. Hello, I'm using Libreoffice 3.3 with Linux. With Writer i use some templates with fontface Kallos ITC for office work. This fontface has the styles: Kallos ITC Book Kallos ITC Book Italic Kallos ITC Medium Kallos ITC Medium Italic Kallos ITC Bold Kallos ITC Bold Italic It seems LibreOffice (LO) does not recognize the different styles of the fontface. Creating a template with text formatted as Kallos ITC Medium and reopening later or creating a new text document from the template results in LO setting the font to Kallos ITC Book. I have always to correct the faulty character formatting by hand. May be LO does not store the font face information correctly or faulty reimports the settings. The bug exists since 2007 in OpenOffice (OO) http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=82986 No solution was found, but some discussion about how handling complex fonts. http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=79878 LO is a fork of OO is has owned the OO bug. But it is a severe problem, if users have always to correct the wrong character formatting by hand. In DTP program scribus the fontface Kallos ITC with all styles works fine.
