there's an interesting thing with regards to donations: Since the latest 
announcements on OpenOffice.org, we're getting nearly three times as 
many donations as usual.

Agree.
I think the best course of action is to focus on TDF and LibreOffice.
I see no benefit is arguing how many ODF supporting apps are enough.

If Apache-OOo prospers; so be it.
