I think this feature was designed to consider mobile context (it doesn't
mean mobile phone usage only).
Even its tilting feature is not adaptable for desktop users, it may open the
horizon to deal with very new style web. It means to handle parameters
from accelerometers to show tilting feature; such as to change perspective
of contents or to trigger certain actions according to those parameters.

I imagined interesting contents which are likely adaptable including 3D like
map, which is switchable between 2D and 3D based on angle of display (like
Google Earth), and Switchable view mode, which shows brief information only
by default and present detail and huge information when display turns into
vertically.

In short, it is quite interesting and worth to considered by web publishers
to differentiate own user experience. ^^;
