Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] Bezitopo 0.1.5 released
Thanks for sharing, if Bezitopo is open source software or free software (you did not say the license) - please consider listing it on the OSGeo website so others can find it :) On Wed, Dec 25, 2019 at 7:14 PM Pierre Abbat wrote: > Bezitopo consists of several programs: > * Bezitest is the test program. > * Bezitopo is a command-line program, which I use mainly to check closure > and > to convert pointlists from PENZD to PNEZD. [OSGeo-Discuss] Bezitopo 0.1.5 released
Bezitopo consists of several programs: * Bezitest is the test program. * Bezitopo is a command-line program, which I use mainly to check closure and to convert pointlists from PENZD to PNEZD. Eventually it will be renamed bezitopo-cli and what is now ViewTIN will take over. * Clotilde computes approximations to Euler spiralarcs. * Convertgeoid converts geoid files from one format to another, resamples them, and makes excerpts of them. * Pangeoid does nothing yet. It's going to be a GUI version of Convertgeoid. * SiteCheck reads a TIN file and is supposed to let you walk around with a GPS system and check it for accuracy, but I have no interface to a system yet. * Transmer computes coefficients for transverse Mercator projections. * ViewTIN reads a list of points, breaklines, and criteria for including or excluding points, makes a TIN, and draws contours. Once it can also draw line segments and has the drawing object list and layers working, I'll rename it to Bezitopo. It's intended to be a CAD program for land surveying (as distinct from a general-purpose CAD program with surveying tacked on), but it isn't there yet. You can download it from http://bezitopo.org/bezitopo-0.1.5.html . If you'd like to contribute, please see http://bezitopo.org/developers.html and join the mailing list. You don't have to be a coder. Some tasks you could do are: * Draw the three foot icons (PerfectTIN needs them too) * Translate strings * Enter map projections (SPC and whatever is used in other countries) * Find samples and specifications of geoid file formats * Find information about the offsets of ellipsoids. Pierre -- Por H o por B, los campos magnéticos se difieren dentro de un imán. ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] [Board] OSGeo Budget 2020
Angelos: Our GeoTools PMC is not meeting over the holiday period, although we did discuss general priorities for next year. Would you prefer I make something up as project officer? To at least provide guidance to the board ... I imagine many other projects are in a similar spot. -- Jody Garnett On Mon, 23 Dec 2019 at 19:35, Angelos Tzotsos wrote: > Hi all, > > Please submit your budget requests by Dec 30th so we can start drafting > the 2020 budget. > > Happy holidays, > Angelos > > On 12/9/19 9:38 PM, Angelos Tzotsos wrote: > > Dear OSGeo project members and committees, > > > > Over the previous years, OSGeo has been proud to support a growing > > number of project events, such as code sprints, developer meetings, > > and user conferences. > > > > OSGeo is reaching out to all committees, including project steering > > committees, to help plan our budget for 2020. > > > > As in last year, the board is discussing about assigning a starting > > budget of 2000$ to all graduated projects who have reported to the > > board the last 12 months (e.g. during the AGM or directly to a board > > meeting). > > > > For projects with more of a plan (to pursue a specific goal) projects > > are welcome to send a more detailed request for approval (see detailed > > budget requests from 2019 e.g. > > https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/GvSIG_Budget_2019) > > > > A good idea is to focus on OSGeo participation, for example attending > > the AGM or OSGeo code sprint.
