Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] Creating a Mailing List

2016-02-12 Thread Oliver May
I have the same problem, (you did actually get a reply, right?). I created
a trac ticket bu no reply yet,
https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/1617#ticket.

Is there any way I can help the SAC with this, or just do it myself?

There is information about how to create a mailinglist on the wiki, can I
just follow this?

cheers,

Oliver

[OSGeo-Discuss] Call for Volunteers for FOSS4G Belgium October 29

2015-09-23 Thread Oliver May
Dear OSGeo enthusiast,

The Dutch and French speaking Open GIS communities in Belgium have decided
to join their forces in a Belgian chapter of the OSGEO foundation and to
organise the first FOSS4G Belgium [0]. This conference will take place
October 29 in the Brussels Environment and Energy Agency Conference venue
at the Tour and Taxis site.

As a volunteer you will be able to participate in a number of tasks at the
conference, such as staffing the registration desk or being chair of a
presentation session. Volunteering gives you an unique opportunity to
experience the conference in a different way. You will be playing an
important part in the conference and have opportunities for networking with
delegates while supporting the organisation.

If you would like to volunteer at the FOSS4G Belgium conference, please
send an e-mail message to volunte...@foss4g.be with a short introduction
about yourself and the tasks you would like to do at the conference.

More information about this call and updates are available on the osgeo
wiki page [1].

kind regards,

Oliver May

Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] [Election 2015] Board Nomination for Dirk Frigne

2015-09-08 Thread Oliver May
I strongly support this nomination.

Dirk is a real Open Source (Geo) advocate, his passion seems virtually
limitless, furthermore he has the ability to pass his enthusiasm on to
others.

kind regards,

Oliver
