Thanks for managing this and sorry for the delay. The OSGeo-fr report 2012 is
now in the wiki. I hope it will be easy for you to get it in the OSGeo journal

Some french proof reader could change it a little bit this week.

José,

Please go ahead and submit a report for the Portuguese chapter. No need
to wait for a confirmation since it is obvious that we/OSGEO/the
community want to hear about the activities of all chapters and software
projects. The reason why Landon did not respond is probably because this
is not even a question, we want them all.

Reminder to all chapters and software projects: please take a few
minutes to submit your 2012 report. As an OSGeo project or chapter, your
are expected to provide that report every year (the chair should lead
that effort). Well, I'm not sure if that's written in plain text
anywhere, but it is clearly expected that being the chair of an OSGeo
body implies that you should report to the foundation and its community
on a regular basis.

Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] Anymore Contributions for the OSGeo Journal Volume 12?

2013-04-03 Thread Just van den Broecke

Hi Landon,

The Dutch Language Local Chapter here. We have covered quite some ground
in 2012, see e.g. http://www.slideshare.net/justb4/tag/osgeonl, becoming
a foundation in 2013, so we should/will definitely contribute. We are
discussing this already internally. What is our deadline? best,

Today I finally started doing the real work of getting Volume 12 of the
OSGeo Journal published. I've got, or will soon get, annual report items
from the following:
- Korean Chapter
- Italian Chapter
- California Chapter
- United Kingdom Chapter
- Summer of Code Committee
- Incubation Committee
I would like to try to publish by the end of this April, which will be a
month behind my goal. Let me know if you can submit an annual report for
your chapter or software project.
I've got an inteview lined up for Volume 12, but I'm also looking for:
A software project that would be willing to help me with project
spotlight article.
A case study of an organization that successfully applied open source
geospatial software.
Please let me know if you can help with either of those items.
Thanks so much for your support!

Thank you for the support and contributions.

I will get the Dutch and Romanian Chapter reports reviewed and edited next
week.

Maning: We'd be happy to take a report from your chapter-in-formation. You
can add a page to the wiki or send it to me directly. (
sunburned.surve...@gmail.com).

Thanks.
