Re: [slim] Broken Remote for SB classic.
When you called Logitech, did you ask for a replacement part, or did you say your remote had broken? I called and just said my remote had broken, and they sent me a replacement for free as a one time courtesy. I didn't argue with him - I'd have happily bought it, but I hear (from you and others) that you can't. Weird. He needed some number that's on the bottom of Logitech SB's, and not present on Slim SB's (it's a short text+numbers combo) - without that, they can't do it, I think. -Dan -- plympton plympton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12955 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=8 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] iPeng on iPad - How should it look like?
How will we be notified when the app is available? If it's a universal app we'll find out on our iPad that an update is ready but I thought I read earlier in the thread that it might not be universal. Will this thread be updated or is there some other thread to subscribe to? -- foolio foolio's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16879 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74581 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

This appears to only be an issue for XP users. Thank you. Still interested in how you found out about this problem. For a long time I have tried to make my Squeezebox server load, but without luck. Sorry avta - missed your question in your last post, As ever the answer is Google' as in I googled 'Dsbridge' and on the first page the last site was the one for the link I posted. I cann't take any credit as obviously other people had worked this out before - I just passed on the link. Still I guess that's what these communties are for. [slim] MusicIP Broke?
I have been using MusicIP on my Mac OSX 5 for a year now with no problems, now all of a sudden MusicIP will not read any songs in my directory and if I ask it to sync with ITunes it goes through the motions but still shows that there are no songs in the library. I rather foolishly cleared the library and asked it to scan again and now MusicIP thinks I have a library of 0 songs whereas there should be showing around 14,000. Re: [slim] Transferring itunes library to USB storage?
Ok...I converted my music files in iTunes to wav files. I searched iTunes and found the file called iTunes music and searched that file for *.wav . I copied all those and sent to my USB storage.(good learning experience). I would think that that should work. Thanks for the help. I want this music to be playable and syncable in all my players not just the radio and the touch. -- Ikabob Ikabob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32088 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79998 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I'm afraid you'll scan these into SbS or the tinySB in a touch and end up with lots of files called track 1, track 2, etc. I hope I'm wrong. -- garym garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79998 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Transferring itunes library to USB storage?
Glad to hear you got that sorted out. You should really consider converting the files to FLAC instead of WAV. FLAC is lossless, so it's the same sound quality as WAV and Apple Lossless, but (a) it takes up only 30-50% of the disk space as WAV, (b) it takes up only 30-50% of the network bandwidth as WAV, and (c) it has good support for tagging, whereas there is no standard for tagging in WAV. You can convert from Apple Lossless (including transferring the tag info) with dBpoweramp Batch Converter and other software. You can convert from wav to FLAC with a lot of software, but the problem there is you have already lost the tag info (other than what is revealed by the file and folder names). The only downside is that you can't play FLAC on iTunes, but you can keep your Apple Lossless for that. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79998 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] tweak Sync settings per *STREAM*?
I have a problematical stream driving me nuts with sync problems - I'm sure the bug will get fixed eventually, but would like to do something about it now. It's 100ms off (SB3 needs a 100ms delay vs. Touch) For all music (streams, Pandora, MP3's), it's in sync. For a single stream, it's 100ms off. It's just enough to drive me bonkers, and my WAF has gone WAY down! Anyone know of a hack where I can throw in code like: If (now_playing == problem stream.m3u) SB3_Kitchen_Player_Audio_Delay = 100ms; else SB3_Kitchen_Player_Audio_Delay = 0ms; endif ?? I don't care if I have to hard-code it, honestly, since it's pretty obscure.
