[slim] My SB Classic needs repair
Hi, The display has given up on my Squeezebox Classic (SB3?). Think my one year old son was a bit tough on it. Can I send it for repair somewhere? Thanks for any advice! Thx for all your answers. I did some more testings. And I really don't understand: I've unplugged all my squeezeboxes: it then worked. So it couldn't be SBS. I replugged my squeezeboxes one by one, it also worked fine!!! Now, it seems to work fine with all my squezeboxes plugged! Maybe that restarting the computer after setting up the power management did the trick, but also not sure about that. I believe they are only repairing SB3's under warranty. So if it was purchased less than two years ago it qualifies for warranty repair. Couple of ideas (long shots): - you tried the Brightness button? - try a Xilinx Reset? Hi, I played with magnaslim today. I changed maxVersion ... even changed some code, but I couldn't success to enable Magnatune in Menu on web interface. Actually Magnatune works if open custom URL like: 192.168.1.8:9000/plugins/Magnatune/index.html?player=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx 192.168.1.8 is my FreeNAS server, and xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx is my Squeezebox Boom Mac address From setting you can even add menu on your player, but not in Squeezebox Server menu. This is a question I meant to ask in my previous posts to this thread but forgot:- My present SB is v.3 and I think I installed it with the d/l file S.C.-7.3.3.exe dated 29/07/09. I note that if I d/l the latest file called SB.Server this is dated 11/09/10. Is this SB Server the same animal as what was called Squeezebox before . If it is then I should update my present SB3 . [slim] Need server help with Pandora dropped connection since 7.5.1 update
Recently upgraded to version: 7.5.1 - r30836 Went through process of creating mySB account and then installed Pandora into my apps. Have bounced the server and browser and my apps still is empty and not showing Pandora. I've even followed some suggestion on the boards here to uninstall and reinstall the app, and still no luck. I'm now at a loss and very frustrated that Pandora support was removed from the default server install. Also, since the 7.5.1 update, the connection from my SB2 seems to drop out 5-15 minutes after play starts. Sometimes it comes back but most of the time it doesn't. The SB2 unit still reads as if it's playing but my receiver shows no signal. Then every once and a while the SB2 drops network connectivity all together. Checked my switch and the cable, all is good there. Any help with either issue is appreciated...7 years with my SB2 with no issues, then comes the 7.5.1 update and all h#ll brakes loose! You must use an existing Nokia or Ovi username, or you can ask code.nokia.com maintainers to create a local user account. Ovi usernames require attaching '@ovi'. 'User type' instead of a single user name is used for adding all users with a certain type of account (authentication method) to a group.
