[slim] 44.1 shows on DAC

If I play a 24/96 FLAC the DAC still shows 44.1, but SOX should
downsample to 48? Or am I wrong?

SOX IS downsampling 96 to 48 unless you seriously messed with you
convert.conf files or or the files is really a 24/88.2 file .

-Or some dac wierdness .-

What kind of squeezebox player SB2/3 & Reciever supports up to
24/48kHz

SB1 16/48 ? (no bith dept in wiki hw compare page) and ye olde slimp3
16/44.1

If you use or synced wuth an old slimp3 you could get 44.1 ?

Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Playback comes to iPeng

2011-02-13 Thread epoch1970

I seem to have trouble playing the BBC (from France). I usually tune to
Gilles Peterson in listen again mode over the week-end.
I can do it with players other than iPhone or iPeng.

When selecting the radio, the app starts playing silence for a few
seconds, then resets to pause and 0:00.
I've changed settings from direct streaming to proxied streaming, to no
avail.
I can play other radios, though not every single one (some may have
been out of service at the very moment, I only checked with iPeng and
iPad side by side, not with a third hardware player.)
I was able to play BBC Radio Wales, which is an iPlayer radio.
I run SBS 7.4.2

Any hint regarding radio streaming on the iPeng players ?

Re: [slim] Playback problems

2011-02-13 Thread GeeJay

It might help to provide a few more details. What's your network setup?
Is the Receiver hardwired or connected via wifi? Any other Squeezes,
or just the one?

I've been having similar problems since upgrading to the latest
official SBS release. It seems to be a wifi issue for me, as I've
noticed a few of my Squeezes that are connected via wifi will see their
signal strength suddenly drop below 80%, and since they are all synced
when one stops so do the others. I've moved my Touch to a spot that
gets a clear signal from my router, and the other one I unsynced.
Seems to have cleared up the problem for now, and I'm unsure if the
timing was coincidental or something new has entered my network
environment that might be causing the problem.

Re: [slim] Announcing SqueezePad - the first dedicated iPad App to controll your SqueezeBoxen !

2011-02-13 Thread Wiigian

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with a Spotify playlist on the squeezepad app.

It seems as if it cant handle playlists larger than 100 songs.
If I select song number 101 in the playlist, it plays the first song in
the list, if I selct song number 102, it plays song number 2 etc.
The only way I can play the songs above 100, is to select song number
100, and then advance with the next button.

I know this isn't a really big problem, it's just to shorten down the
playlists. Well, try to explain that to my GF :-)

My setup:

Squeezebox server running on Ubuntu with the unofficial Spotify plugin.

Squeezebox Radio x2
Squeezebox Duet

Re: [slim] Announcing SqueezePad - the first dedicated iPad App to controll your SqueezeBoxen !

2011-02-13 Thread bluegaspode

Hi Wiigian,

this unfortunately is a known problem of the Squeezebox-Server (though
there it only happens for tracks > 200) :( (the bugreport is about
albums, but later they found out it affected playlists as well).

Actually I thought I worked around this problem in the meantime ...
what version of SqueezePad are you using (you can see on the bottom
left in the settings-screen of SqueezePad) ?
Maybe just update first via the AppStore before doing further
investigations.

If the problem persist even after an update I need you to describe a
bit more in detail how you are using playlists (there are several
places, where you see a playlist).

Are you seeing/using the playlist on the left menu?
Or are you seeing/using the playlist in the dedicated playlist pane on
the right (there is a small button on the right, which will show you
the playlist) ?

If you are using the playlist in the left menu:
- is this one of your own created playlists (MyMusic->Playlists) ?
- or it this a playlist the you access when you are somewhere in the
Spotify menus?

[slim] wimp not showing on the controller mainmenu

I have installed the wimp-app from mysb.com and have set up an account

I have rebootet both controllers after the app-installation and on

What have I done wrong?

Re: [slim] SB release 7.5.3: Unreliable. Anyone else?

2011-02-13 Thread aubuti

I've recently noticed some weirdness with 7.5.3, but haven't been able
to reproduce it reliably.

1) getting occasional brief (< 1 second) dropouts when streaming FLAC
over wired ethernet. Usually it occurs in the last 30 seconds or so of
a track. Once it starts doing it the dropouts occur more frequently.
Sometimes transitions to new tracks aren't smooth either, as if the new
track starts too soon. If I restart SBS these problems go away.

2) Last night I had an SB2 and Touch (both wired) sync'd, and suddenly
the SB2 stopped playing. Again, everything was fine after restarting
SBS.

Still need to try to isolate problems and check logs.

[slim] Rhapsody and Playlists

2011-02-13 Thread brucegrr

I have been a Squeezebox user for 6 plus years. Recently I decided to
give Rhapsody a try. I a Classic Squeezebox, Boom, and I am using the

I am having difficulty figuring out how to make playlists while using
Rhapsody. When I click the icon to save a list of Rhapsody songs that
are playing the action never completes. All I get is a waiting for
192.168.0.xxx. I am unable to save the playlist.

With iPeng I am able to save the playlist but when I go back to the
playlist to play it it says unable to connect to server.

Maybe I don't understand the whole Rhapsody process. Any help would be

Maybe putting them on a different network or subnet ? Any old router

Maybe some portforwarding or other nat tricks have to be done to make

People with more complicated home networks usually complains that wol
does not work , maybe it can be explioted to your benefit.

I have not tried myself so i have direct ezperience on how to do it.

There is no easy way for me to block the WOL packets in my (typical)

this "feature" off on each SB. And this seems a very reasonable user

This forum is hosted by logitech but not read by them officially, there
another forum at logitechs own site or you could mail support about it.

bug-tracker.

besides the devs have stated that the old products are not going to get
any new firmware features added ( as this can not be fixed at the server
).
