TinySC and accurate time follow up: Touch's own clock is already 1 minute behind after three days. Streaming services via Apps using MySB in the background did not help with the clock. Obviously this means Erlands Daylight Clock Applet on Touch while running TinySC is indeed doing ckeck-ins to maintain accurate time. Feels strange that Daylight Clock should have anything to do with it
but maybe the fact that I'm using mysqueezebox.com image proxy to
retrieve rescaled daylight images makes it sync the time also.
If that's the case it should be easy for Logitech to fix it simply by
retrieving an image from mysqueezebox.com at regular intervals.

OK I uninstalled, deleted the cache folder (and all folders from previous installs). I then re-installed and scanned my library from scratch - it completed OK. Now a few days later I find that the server has stopped itself again. I attach the log. This version doesn't stay up for longer than a day at a time on my Windows 2003 Server, which is rendering it un-usable. Unfortunately I've lost the last pre-LMS release of Squeezebox server, and it seems to be no longer available on the official site. minor question re apple airplay. Does it support player synch. That is, does it allow different players to be playing exactly the same thing (synched) OR to be playing different things (all being fed from same itunes). Not sure, but just curious. p.s. your Squeezeboxes and existing software will last forever until they break. Even if logitech shuts it all down tomorrow. So you'll have own music and anything you can reach with a URL (internet radio). yes Airplay does it really treat the whole system as a whole, sync or not for multiple players from the same source and unaltered soundquality ? was not apples own airports ( or what they called them ) using urgh resampled audio to 16/48 k something. What does airplay stream ? I seen airplay in action just streaming youtube sound from an ipad to a reciever cool demo:) but just a toy. This is very interesting discussion. I guess the real thread for average user comes from external complexity Any mass-market solution should be easy to set-up and operate by one fingertip. Interestingly TV solution rivals are: Samsung with its HUB, Philips with similar ideas and of course Apple. Apple TV and coming real TV box will change the entertainment world soon. I see that standard broadcast will have serious problems from this side. Who needs a standard TV when you can stream everything from internet using one of HUBX or possible iTune? Still market is fresh and many solutions are not mature, but main brands are already far ahead of most. I personally believe that Logitech could launch the product doing both: audio and video. I would be happy to move all my movies to the same server where my music is. But would it be really implementable and supported? Main argumentation against would be the piracy (as all discussions about movies). It would be great to move all DVDs and later Blue-Rays to the server and have them available at any time I need and it is possible (to some extend) with Apple platform Pity, I see Logitech is a bit too late to get to this market and content provider is a key for success. Google did not fulfill this role. Another alternative would be to move to the same filed where big boys are to start offering content like e.g. Apple does. But this would not fit to Logitech business model as it is now, and produces a lot of conflicts with many partners, even with Apple. Time wise the Duet was cancelled after a decent run, as far as electronic devices go. SB3 Boom Duet Receiver were all basically based on the same player, were getting old, replaced by newer players Touch Radio with more features (like hi-res Spotify). There have often been only a single current player offered in the SB history, having multiple current players offered is relatively new. Reasons I think SB will be around in the near future: Logitech has said it was very pleased with it's streaming product sales, particularly in the EU market. Radio is the single best selling SB model ever made. Does Apple/Airplay have as many third party services as does SB or Sonos? I'm just thinking about how much potential add space they sold via my cabel TV subscription, to get some channel I want a bunch of other cr*p is bundled to it in a package, possibly I sometimes watch a channel I did not really wanted and happen to be exposed to a comercial bingo $$ they won :-/ boxes than can record TV is enough headache for them when people ffwd the comercials... Whilst the BBC in the UK operates via the licence fee, they still have a very lucrative business selling shows and programming to other networks globally. This should be standard behavior, no option needed, let it just behave like the Apple music player. This started with iOS5 and I'm afraid it is supposed (by Apple) to be that way (maybe to better save battery power?) Apples own Apps cannot be taken as comparison, their Apps always could do things that 'normal' Apps were not allowed to do. Because MonkeySqueeze requires LMS connection (it doesn't work with TinySBS for now), and there is no clock drift if I am connected to LMS Why not? TinySBS is LMS less the web server. Feels strange that Daylight Clock should have anything to do with it but maybe the fact that I'm using mysqueezebox.com image proxy to retrieve rescaled daylight images makes it sync the time also. There's no relation there :-). I checked the code again: the time should be adjusted when prefs are synced between Touch and mysb.com. I only can ask again to check the player's log file.
