Re: [slim] Possible to convert your favourites list to a playlist?
If you've only got a few favourites, you could add them all one-by-one to the currently playing list of tracks, then save the resulting list as a playlist. If you've got iPeng, there's a convenient option to 'Play all' when you're viewing your favourites. This would get them all into the currently playing list in one go, and then saving them as a playlist is only a couple more clicks. chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88893 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] It's all about knowing your music! SqueezePad 1.9.0 hits the App Store
SqueezePad 1.9.6 is available now. It focusses on improving the overall stability. - better performance of album view: users with larger libraries (>=40.000 tracks) reported, that with the Retina release the album view got a bit slow (even after caching the list) - on rare occasions SqueezePad even quit when trying to show albums. I have now a test library with 50.000 tracks (thanks to erland, why created this library some time ago) and officially test SqueezePad against that. - fixed some occasional crashes. In the last bugfix release I also integrated a technique, which allowed you to send me crashes directly should they ever happen. This allowed me to get some better insight and statistics about SqueezePads crashes in the wild. The results were quite interesting. Though I never received a report about crashes via my normal support channels (this forum or mail), statistics showed, that SqueezePad annoyed around 5 users per day worldwide. While I consider this a very very low count - it's still too much of course - so these bugs have been fixed and of course I keep watching. Have a lot of fun with this new version of SqueezePad! bluegaspode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90788 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

toby10 wrote: > Loose power connection into SB3? I have 1 unit that will reboot if I slightly move the power cable. It came out of the box recently, I guess it was just built that way. I also have a buddy who tells me his Logitech Classic did the same from day one. So it's not uncommon, but 2 out of 2 in the OP's case seems a bit unlucky. I'd suspect wifi or some TCP issue. I never used it but I think the SB3 will serve as a wifi bridge (with older firmwares ?). If so you could hook a PC to a player and perhaps understand what happens ? epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95442 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Missing Artists?
Dear amey01, I have exactly the same problem. Hank Williams III is for example missing from the artists, though his albums appear and you can search for him. If you click on the links you can find a list of all albums that I have of his, but you cant find him on the artist folder, though his granddaddy (Hank Williams) is on the artist folder. Re: [slim] Syncing on newer model players
plympton wrote: > and syncing has never really been nailed with SqueezeOS devices Yeah, that statement puzzled me too. I have a couple of Radios, a Touch, a Boom and an SB3, and have subsets of them synced all the time. They work fine. One of the Radios regularly gets moved from the bedroom, where it syncs as half of a stereo pair, and the patio, where it syncs to play the same as the rest of the house. Two minor issues that I've noted though. i) If I have a mixed playlist with crossfade enabled, I occasionally notice that one of the players drops a few samples at the crossover between tracks. I assume that the syncing mechanism tries to take advantage of the silence between tracks to adjust the sync precision, but when crossfade is enabled there is no silence. ii) Sometimes when starting up a number of players the first track is completely out of sync - half a second or so - but this disappears when the second track starts. I can also fix it by hitting the 'back' arrow on one of the players to make the first track restart. I had never considered that either of these issues might be down to one of the SqueezeOS players. I don't think they are, but haven't done any careful testing. Even if they are they are so minor that I wouldn't give them a second thought when considering a new purchase. chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95446 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Syncing on newer model players
I occasionally synch 2xTouches, or 2xTouches and an SB3, and have no problem. bonze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6150 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95446 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Syncing on newer model players
In another thread (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?95442-Dying-Classics), someone made this comment: > and syncing has never really been nailed with SqueezeOS devices All my players are old-school (Transporter, SB2, SBR) so I don't own a SqueezeOS-based player. Is it true that syncing doesn't work as well on a Touch? Such info is useful for the future, if and when any of my players dies and need to be replaced. cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95446 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Dying Classics?
Try just re-seating the WiFi cards? Maybe the PSU's are the issue? Loose power connection into SB3? PowerLine adapters may make more sense than buying replacement SB3 WiFi cards. toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95442 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
