Do they have a support forum where one can ask? Anyway - you can also make SqueezePlayer use a different make if you have a rooted device. On a rooted phone you should be finding the following file with a file explorer: /data/data/de.bluegaspode.squeezeplayer/shared_prefs/de.bluegaspode.squeezeplayer_preferences.xml Before editing the file, close the App and remove it from memory via the App Settings. In the file there is the MAC address used by SqueezePlayer (it was determined on the very first start). You can just change it, SqueezePlayer will just use this setting. I've seen it today and updatet without any problems with Archlinux. Is it possible to finally use newer versions of perl? W Gotcha - I automatically ran off to 'reinstall LMS'. I uninstalled on mysqueezebox.com, logged out, logged back in and re-added the app. I'm not sure how much it did since it picked up the old settings automatically. However, The Loft is currently playing, so you might well have solved the problem. Guess we'll see whether this is just a random success or not. Re: [slim] Selling SB Touch's
I'd suggest an auction on eBay. The ones I've been watching have tended to end up going for more than I'd have thought they would. It might be worth being patient and selling one or two at a time rather than all at once. Re: [slim] Android TV Sticks/Boxes as Squeezebox Replacement
marlo wrote: > Could you please check if playback of hires-files is possible via hdmi > and/or spdif? hi Marlo, Sorry for the late answer. Right now SqueezePlayer uses an AudioAPI that is compatible with pretty old Android versions ("AudioTrack" / http://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/AudioTrack.html#AudioTrack(int, int, int, int, int, int) This supports only samplerate of 48kHz and 16Bit material. I also checked about the multichannel possibilities now. Unfortunately there is a parameter "channelConfig" which allows only the parameter Mono + Stereo. So unless I rewrite the whole audio engine of SqueezePlayer (which is not planned right now I'm afraid) both request right now cannot be fulfilled. On newer Android version (starting 4.0) audio support was improved in Android. Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.com)* will stream all your music to your Android device. My rule of thumb is Rip everything to FLAC first. That way if needed these flac files can be converted to MP3 using a batch process. I do this on a regular basis so I can then take my compressed tunes on my iThings and the likes. froth's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99871 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I have a transporter, touches, sb3, and have had duet. In my opinion, unless one has a very discriminating system, the likelihood of hearing any differences is very, very low. If you've a PC with sufficient RAM and multiple DVD drives it's trivial to rip a few hundred CDs because you can use dbpoweramp's batch ripper to rip 4-5 concurrently. You don't have to have the whole collection the same format, so one way to handle it is to start re-ripping the stuff you listen to often or music which you want to be in the best possible quality. There are several services available that lets you send them your CD's and they will rip them for you, typically for a one time fee, but I haven't tried any of them myself so I don't want to recommend a specific one. Since we are talking about physically sending the CD it might also be important where the service provider is located so you don't have to send the CD's to the other side of the world.
