I just ran a few tests with 7.8 and a new & changed scan successfully removed the orphaned genres. I have a feeling that if it doesn't work for you, you have something else going on in your library or with your plugins, as suggested in the post above. I used this url in my favorites to listen Radio 3: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r3_aaclca.pls It's dead now. Same thing for the two BBC R3 AAC streams in iTunes for PC. iTunes crashes when i try to use them. Problem solved. The problem is that plugin by default will play the Flash/AAC stream and a user saying AAC is working so may not be playing the stream format that the receiva user is testing. The speed will tell which format is being used Flash/aac is 32kbps and http/aac is 56kbps. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100223 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Call for testers! Daphile
Thanks for the info -Will try one of those. The Intel 3925ABG will display the APs, but not connect when given the key. This normally works fine with wpa-supplicant. I will try booting up with a live cd at some point so I cannot identify the driver. mintaudio's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59106 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99132 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I have successfully used these Wifi adapters in AP mode with Daphile: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235, rev 24 (iwlwifi) Atheros AR9285 Rev:2 (ath9k) Mini Pci-express card ZyDAS ZD1211B 802.11g (zd1211rw) USB WLAN dongle Daphile Wifi hotspot is using hostapd and it's configured with driver=nl80211. Maybe you could find more compatible adapter by googling for example: hostapd nl80211 compatible adapter. And let's hope some other users would share their experiences. One of my Wifi adapter (rtl8192ce: Using firmware rtlwifi/rtl8192cfw.bin) does not work properly in AP mode although "iw phy phy0 info" claims "Supported interface modes: AP". The hotspot seems to be working but the authentication fails. Sorry but I could not find any info related to Intel 3925ABG which would have helped to understand the problem. Daphile consists the driver and firmware for Intel 3945ABG but kipeta's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99132 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] How to delete a Genre tag?
While I don't doubt that ghost entries exist (haven't had one, but anything's possible), to me it doesn't seem that this was the case here. IMO it was just "incorrect" use of the MusicIP plugin, as in: - Letting LMS get tag info from MusicIP, all you need is the "mixable" status, and if you use Spicefly Sugarcube you don't even need that - Not rescanning in MusicIP after changing tags, if for some reason you absolutely want to import tag info from MusicIP This just resulted in the incorrect tag being imported over and over again from MusicIP.
