Re: [slim] Alternatives to LastFM available for the Boom in UK ?
Well I've already found stations which play stuff I like (eg. SomaFM), and scrobble to my LastFM account (but don't have smart playlists or take into account my scrobbling/listening history. This is a start as I can still love tracks of new stuff and use these to explore new artists, albums etc. Touch x 2, Booms x 2, SqueezeCommander on Galaxy S2 (Duet Receiver + Controllers x 2 - semi-retired) swayzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16575 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101304 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Still Love My Squeeze But Hardly Use Logitech Kit Now
All my pals seem to have Sonos kit now and when I describe what I do with the plugins for LMS they are amazed. They seem to do very little other than simply play music and spotify. Don't get me wrong, I still dust off the boom and the receiver when we are entertaining because they are great for multi-room music, but they aren't essential anymore. 'What am I listening to?' Re: [slim] Still Love My Squeeze But Hardly Use Logitech Kit Now
Not surprised that Erland's plugins are perhaps the main reason you stick with LMS. It DOES surprise me, however, that with all the new products coming on the market, not one appears to be putting any effort in replicating some of the functionality he brought to the table. 2-SB3s, 1-Duet, 1-Touch...and an iPeng convert. [slim] Still Love My Squeeze But Hardly Use Logitech Kit Now
While I still love Squeezebox and LMS, as the title suggests I don't really use the squeezebox kit. I mainly listen while I work on my home office PC running LMS using Local Player. Decent sound-card and decent 2.1 speakers. My daughter has claimed the Boom, and while she loves it, it pains me the amount of One Direction it now plays :o My Receiver has been playing up, it drops its settings far too often and while it can be recovered its a bit of a pain because I don't have the logitech remote, I was a cheapskate when I got it and configured using tools in the forum. So my downstairs listening tends to be via my iphone running ipeng to a nice Sony Bluetooth Speaker I got for Christmas. I think its only the third party pluggins that are keeping me here to be honest. I just could not live without Sugarcube Spicefly and Smartmix, not to mention the millions of rated songs I have with Erlands great plugins. Isn't it funny how things change. I think I'm basically saying long live LMS  'What am I listening to?' Yes, the android app "Squeeze player" will do it, see http://www.squeezeplayer.com/ and http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?87364-ANNOUNCE-Music-Playback-now-on-ANDROID!-SqueezePlayer-released-to-the-market&highlight=squeeze+player Otto-Wilhelm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101306 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I have an Android Phone with a cracked screen. It still works even though the glass is full of cracks, so I'm trying to figure out a use for it. You're right, VMs are very handy for different purposes - and there are tools that copy a running XP on a real machine into a virtual machine for use on another hardware. But I doubt that the OP as a non computer-savvy person would feel comfortable in doing this. After all he could keep his real XP in parallel to a new system as long as necessary. reinholdk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36070 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101240 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Music-Playback now on ANDROID! SqueezePlayer released to the market ...
Amazon and Google Play are two separate markets. SqueezePlayer is also available on Amazon App Store, but you'd need to purchase twice. If you really want to save the money: download the AndroidPit App on your phone and Amazon device. You can purchase the App from this neutral store as well. Then write a mail to supp...@squeezeplayer.com with your Google order number and I can refund that purchase. [slim] Alternatives to LastFM available for the Boom in UK ?
I am still grieving but slowly coming terms with loss of LastFM device streaming. I can still scrobble via LMS and PC at work. More specifically now, are there good radio services available (with some form of smart playlist function) for me to use instead on the Boom via MySB.com ? I've looked at Spotify and it is not really suitable, mainly as it's not available on Boom via MySBMySB.com.
