I just took a look at the music library that Amazon is offering and
there are many artists and albums that I like. I would love to be able
to play them on my SBT.

Please someone help create an app.

If you eventually get down to a generic solution ( or what could be
adapted to a generic solution ) .

I sugests keeping stream.wav and stream.pcm in the game as it probably
would suite even more clients .

I haven't kept up with all you done , very good anyway :) the pieces I
understand .

Another venue to explore is to "rescue" LMS own dlna plugin debug and
extend it's capability , do you still have squeezelite instances as
middlemen and players . I do get why to LMS they are just fully
functionally squeezeboxes .

Quite possibly - you'd need to check if device can handle MPEG4 podcast.
MPEG4 podcasts are generally aimed at PC playback and frequently have a
"video" content even if it is just a still graphic or photo - this often
upsets audio playback devices.

Is it a podcast or some sort of "playback"/ "catchup" facility ?

It used the exact same weird system. I suspect it is some sort of
homegrown (possibly regional) solution.

Funny, I find that a lot of PBS service can be played on Squeezebox -
except for those using Flash.

Thanks for the info. So does that mean that this stream would trip up
all internet radio devices? It's a shame because it's a good quality
stream that I would like to be able to hear on the hi-fi system.

Here's another one, one of the stations of the Turkish Public
broadcaster TRT:

Is this the same sort of problem?

I find listening to other countries PSB services very interesting and
it's a pity that they use odd implementations that trip up devices like
the Squeezebox.

Sorry for a silly question but this a silly thing I've done myself so I
have to ask.

Have you checked that your phone is connected to WiFi. I was tearing my
hair out the other day with the same problem until I realised that for
some reason my phone wasn't connecting, ended up rebooting my router to
fix it, unusually I had a really good 3G signal so hadn't noticed.

It seems a thread is left running whenever the player reconnects. I'm

You can probably find some pre-Klipsch Jamo speakers on e-bay for cheap.
Incredible sound for very little $$$. Mission is another good option in
the UK. The Monitor Audio Bronze series is pretty good as well. I buy
almost all my audio gear second hand or open box. So many people get
caught up with chasing some sonic ideal and their discards are more than
good enough for me! I have a pair of Jamo 307s on the refrigerator in my
kitchen (picked up on e-bay for ~ $130 delivered) and people are amazed
at the resolution and bass response. I previously had some Jamo Cornet
40 IIs that I ended up selling to a friend because they liked them so
much.
