Working fine for me. First thing I'd try would be (in SqueezeCommander)

will have an idea of how to help.
I've used SqueezeCommander successfully for some time, and only lately
has this issue cropped up: when I drill into a locally-served artist /
album, I get an empty list, as opposed to seeing the songs. Rhapsody or
other web-served sources work fine. iPeng on an iPhone or iPad work
fine, even for local...

Is there a scrub or something to poke that might help resolve the local
missing songs in SqueezeCommander?

Thanks all -

Re: [slim] spotify

2014-09-08 Thread Mnyb

The oficial has some bugs but it does work and it works without LMS ?

But it only supports new players like Touch or Radio none of the older
players would work .
Due to technical limitations of the old players the necessary software
would never fit inside an SB3 or Boom or receiver or transporter .And
spotify can't fix that unless they abandon their encryption scheme.

And I don't think logitech will do any kind of fw work for ip3k players
anymore , even if spotify did some dramatic changes and this becomes
feasible .

[slim] SqueezeRemote -- broken?

2014-09-08 Thread RonM

I sometimes use SqueezeRemote, a Win 8/8.1 app for controlling
Squeezeboxen, on my Surface tablet. It works fine, in fact is a nice
app.

Aside from the fact that a recent 8.1 update appears to have broken it,
and I can't make it work. It starts on my tablet, but immediately shuts
down. It seems others are experiencing the same problem.

It doesn't help that the support link on the Microsoft store site for
the app goes to the email address "supp...@7illusions.coms", complete
with a terminal "s", and doesn't work, generating a "can't deliver"
message. Writing to the right address without the "s" doesn't appear to
generate any response at all. And the app no longer appears on their
rudimentary website, when you go direct to 7illusions.com.

So, if anyone has a handle on where to find these guys, let me know.

R.

Are you listening music while you are driving? Will quality then really
be an important factor (given that all solution will yield into
reasonable good quality)

Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.com)* will stream all
your music to your Android device. Take your music everywhere!
Remote Control + Streaming to your iPad? *'Squeezebox + iPad =
SqueezePad ' (www.squeezepad.com)*

hopefully this solved your issue. first step when all seems messed up is
always a complete reboot, including router. It solves a multitude of

Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Music-Playback now on ANDROID! SqueezePlayer released to the market ...

2014-09-08 Thread esa

Dear,

I would like to use a SqueezeBox in my car.
I plan to install a raspberry with piCorePlayer in my car :
https://sites.google.com/site/picoreplayer/home
To play sound in my car, I can use the car analog input + HifiBerry (The
Jack output of the Rpi sounds very bad).

My car can be connected with a Bluetooth device.

So if I can avoid wires and as I'll use my smartPhone with
SqueezeCommander, why not try the BT connection?

I plan to buy a HTC Desire 500 with a Bluetooth APTx compatible.

I don't know if my car is APTx compatible, but I already made a test
with a tablet that is A2DP compatible and it sounds correctly.
If APTx is better, I plan to add a device like this one :
http://www.aptx.com/product/advance-acoustic-wtx-500-bluetoothr-receiver

A third solution : As my car also have a Aux Input, I can use the phones
output but what's about the quality?

I read that SqueezePlayer will be able to connect through a Bluetooth
connection and in fact that's an Android feature (the OS will manage the
sound output)
Does someone already try such BT APTx connection with SqueezePlayer or
is it best to use the Phone output connection?
Thanks for your advice.
Best Regards
Eric
