Re: [slim] BBC radio 2 missing
How peculiar. It's not going to answer your question, but if all you want to do is to access Radio 2 from your phone app, then you could try the RadioFeeds app from the Squeezebox App Gallery. [slim] Microwave oven interference
This is not a serious problem but I thought id ask. Is there a way to eliminated the dropouts that occur when the microwave oven is used. Thank you. Weirdly it's only with the official Logitech control app on both my Android and Apple devices. Radio 2 shows correctly with iPeng, OrangeSqueeze and Squeezecontrol. I uninstalled the app in LMS, re-booted then re-installed and yet Radio 2 still didn't show when using the Logitech control app. There are plenty of workarounds but it is a curious one! Any idea who maintains the app BBC / Logitech / another? The "app" - me. But we're simply showing a list of stations we get from BBC automatically. We don't edit that list. -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

atca wrote: > Any idea who maintains the app BBC / Logitech / another? What control app are you using? Radio 2 doesn't display when using the Logitech Squeezebox control app but all the other control apps show it and it also displays in the LMS GUI so it's definitely there. I also uninstalled and re-installed the control app itself to see if that made a difference. It didn't! Re: [slim] BBC radio 2 missing
The Android Squeezebox controller v1.1.4 and the Logitech app from the app gallery. The station shows via the LMS 7.7.2 r33893 web ui and I have book marked it for access. Given it shows via the web ui it makes me think something is missing on the Android controller version of the app. This feels like a local rather than BBC induced issue. atca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56880 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103260 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Microwave oven interference
I always had a problem with my Linksys WAP54G access point getting clobbered by the microwave. Not only would the Squeezebox on top of the microwave lose connection, but the Squeezebox and Wii in the next room would lose connection as well as any other device on the network. I picked up an Asus RT-AC68U router and believe it or not the microwave no longer interferes with the wireless. Netflix on the Wii plays just fine as does the Squeezebox on top of the microwave itself. Phones and tablets in the house use the 5GHz band so those are completely unaffected now. 4mula1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3439 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103261 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

atca wrote: > Same issue on the official iPad ios client too. So to summarise; we both have the same issue when using the official Logitech control app in iOS and Android but R2 is definitely there when using other control apps (and also there on a Squeezebox Radio) so it looks like it's the control app where the problem lies rather than the BBC app itself. Perhaps treat yourself to another control app!;) PaulinPosset's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63060 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103260 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I quite like the official one. More frustratingly I don't see how this issue can arise, it's very odd. atca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56880 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103260 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Check your signal strength to the unit on the LMS settings/info page. I have an SB3 that was in the 40% range and it sits on top of a microwave and it dropped out any time the microwave was on. Added another router as an access point closer to the SB3 and it's in the 80% range now and never drops out. I had a problem with my Boom in the kitchen, which is about two feet from the microwave - it would periodically rebuffer whenever the microwave was running. I switched to a different router, and without anything else changing I haven't had any trouble since. ftlight's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5294 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103261 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
