[slim] LMS won't scan my new Samsung Hard Drive
Hi The server reports early termination of scanning with my new Samsung 3TB D3 Station External Desktop Hard Drive, but scans my old Samsung Story Station 2.0TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive with no problems. The data in the new one was made by copy and paste from the old. 1.35 TB, mostly FLAC. Check LMS log files server.log and scanner.log. Here's the response to my e-mail to Rhapsody support regarding why there is no longer any audio when I try and stream via my Classic. Note that these same compliance issues don't seem to stop Pandora, Spotify or other streaming services from using the Classic for streaming. Pathetic. I've been a subscriber to Rhapsody since 2004 and using my Classic for 10 of those years to stream music. Rhapsody has made a change last week to disable some SSL cyphers as required for PCI compliance. With this change, some devices are no longer function with Rhapsody service. Here's the response I got from Rhapsody on May 10, 2015. Now that I'm using Orange Squeeze for the most part as the main app to control my squeezeboxes since the official Logitech app stopped working with Android System Webview, I wanted to try and tackle an issue I've been having with Orange Squeeze continuing throughout the updates along the way. The basic problem is, the app will almost freeze or not load the menus. I'll have to close the app and it will populate the menus again correctly. I'm not sure if it's every menu, but it's more or less just what it has to populate from the server. The pause button or next track button will work but when I'm looking into Artists or New music or even the Artists albums, it will say Loading and then nothing populates. The whole app seems to be weird at that point and only certain things work and populate correctly. Like it's anything that populates from the server that has an issue. Restarting the app works fine everytime but it's a bit cumbersome. I'm using the app on a Verizon Samsung S4. Touch Radio players are newer and completely different hardware architectures which can handle Rhapsody's new AES encryption method. Older players like your SB3 (which was designed a decade ago) is not capable of their new AES encryption. I'm also coming across posts saying that Spotify has introduced the same problem to most Squeeze devices. Today, I removed the Classic from my sound system and installed the radio instead. Yes, same email form letter they are sending to all afflicted users. Been posted numerous times in here.
