Yes. Stranger still that it produced the exact same channel issue.
Very odd indeed.

WinAmp is a server.

Re: [slim] Hard drive died / proof of a higher power

2015-10-23 Thread epoch1970

I'm sure the last time I've tried this with success was a couple (not a
dozen ;) years ago.
Obviously if we're talking of a multi-TB drive, copying is so long there
is less chance of complete recovery.

Right. But that's as far as I am with you.
How do you explain Sonos is still in the market? They do market
expensive stuff, and their design is a networked audio system, not a
long audio cable for windows desktops.
In addition, the long audio cable is called Bluetooth nowadays. Logi
sells affordable BT audio devices. Yet they've not taken the world over,
as far as I can see.

(recycling the Transporter... dreadful thing to do.)

Re: [slim] SqueezePlay for Windows with ASIO, DirectSound, WASAPI and WDMKS device support.

2015-10-23 Thread kllngtme

So I'm not sure if this is the proper thread to ask for this. I've been
using the latest builds of Squeezeplay, currently using 7.8.0r639.

Is there a way to scroll through my endless amounts of artists other
than using the mouse or arrow up/down keys? I'm looking to be able to
type in a letter and have it goto that letter on the list of artist's..

Is there a way to get this implemented at all?

Re: [slim] Announcing SqueezePad - the first dedicated iPad App to controll your SqueezeBoxen !

2015-10-23 Thread bluegaspode

Groundhog day.

They wrote again that Apps with browsers are required to be rated 17+.

While this is a quite annoying simplification of their "Apps with
unrestricted Internet access" rule, this morning I updated the AppStore
metadata to comply with Apples request.

We are now back in the 'waiting for review' state, I have no idea if we
need to wait again for 7 days or if I'm still in some faster queue.

Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.com)* will stream all
your music to your Android device. Take your music everywhere!
Remote Control + Streaming to your iPad? *'Squeezebox + iPad =
SqueezePad ' (www.squeezepad.com)*

You can use the 2...9 keys to quickly select a letter just like on the
original remote. E.g. '3' cycles through the letters D, E and F. Hope
this helps.

the one station for which i can find no credible alternative is MetOpera
Radio. everything else is replaceable, although i do miss The Loft at
times.

I am interested in whatever options are available, and continue to
support any efforts that could get back the Sirius XM functionality of
the radios!
