I started using Tidal via ickstream on my squeezebox, but I prefer my favorite sirius channels. I suppose I will cancel my sirius for now as well. I've been hanging on the past few months, but it looks like this will take a while if it ever even happens... mikeybs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62630 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104395 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

The instruction to create a group doesn't work for me so I'm not sure if the functionality is actually released. https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6328691?hl=en_topic=6328727 bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104383 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Chromcast audio has added multi-room support!
http://techcrunch.com/2015/12/10/google-fires-at-sonos-adds-multi-room-support-to-chromecast-audio/ Chromecast Audio also got support for a higher resolution audio stream: it can now handle audio up to 96KHz/24bit lossless. This is big and for the price is not a bad entry level solution. dustinsterk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19649 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104789 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

The switch in question is unlikely to have this "green" feature. It's a really cheap 5-port thing that's several years old - could be as much as 10 years old now. w3wilkes wrote: > A really dumb question... Yes, I know for certain that it is configured for wired ethernet. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I removed the wireless card and it made no difference. I know Squeezeboxes are clever devices, but I think even they can't connect to WiFi without a wireless card installed :-) Bottom line: I think the most likely explanantion is that one specific port on the switch is a little down on power, and the SB2 happens to be more tolerant of this than the SB3. [slim] SB Controller & Android 5.1..1
I have recently installed a custom ROM in my Lenovo K3 Note. All Apps work perfectly except for SB Controller. This one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logitech.squeezeboxremote There I see various comments that SB Controller was broken in a recent "upgrade". Does anyone know more of this? pkfox wrote: > Hi there, what do you use for to test your flac files when you back them > up ? because I use dbpoweramp, I can simple select all files and do a batch "convert to" [TEST CONVERSION] and it will run through all the files and test the decoding. It will produce a report at the end identifying any warnings or errors. Another approach that I've used is foobar2000 with the "file integrity verifier" component added. Again, select all the files in a giant batch, right click, select 'utilities' and then select "verify integrity' and it will check all the files. There are also command line commands one can use from FLAC library to do the same thing the above two options do. see this as well: https://www.hydrogenaud.io/forums/index.php?showtopic=49487 *Home:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win8(64) > LMS 7.9 > Squeezelite *Spares:* Touch(3), Radio(3), Boom, SB3, CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng8 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104776 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
