[slim] WTB: Squeezebox Classic or SB3
Went downstairs to see why the old SB3 (pre-Logitech!) connected to my whole-house audio wasn't working. Looks like it's completely dead, won't power on. Does anyone have an old one laying around that they want to sell? I don't need remote - if there are flaws with the screen that's OK as well. I do need a functioning digital output and IR input (I think the only other device in the family that does that is the Touch or the Transporter, correct?). If I can't get a relatively inexpensive one I guess I can probably get the picoreplay thing going (although last time I checked that was kind of clunky with hooking up an IR receiver...) I replaced my Touch with a Sonore microRendu. You can drive it with Logitech Media Server, a DLNA based program such as JRiver, Roon or Airplay. What rules have you "correctly " set in the router (hint: you should not need any). [slim] Squeezebox App on iPad issue
When I open the App it cannot find any players? Is use LMS on my NAS Synology DS216se . The physical Squeezebox is happily connected to the LMS/NAS and I can browse songs/play using my hand set ...so they are chatting to one another OK i would appear So why does the iPad app not find a player?...there is only one SSID / Network in the house and the Squeezebox and NAS are both connected to it. The IP addresses are assigned via DHCP The Port forwarding rules on the Router has been set up to open the correct ports on the IP Address of the NAS Any clues? I have a workaround to play Amazon Music on squeeze - for iOS device owners only. First I activate the shairtunes2 plugin. All squeezeclients will then be offered as airplay devices on iPad/iPhone. Then open Amazon Music App and select the Airplay output device of choice.
