This is the way I'm going to go.
I have setup and run another LMS server, and the Spotty app works as it
should for me. The server is on a Windows10 desktop, so it ain't
permanent, but it is useful for trying things out.
This second server is also scanning the NSA310, so I'll see what the
local library is like when it's finished.

Thanks Michael for your hard work - it is truly appreciated.
Thanks everyone else for the tips and pointers.

What you can do with this is
Turn off LMS on the NSA310
Get a Raspberry Pi
Install piCorePlayer and install and configure LMS (a few clicks)
including Spotty
Point it at the network shares on the NSA310

It might sound daunting but it really isn't.

[slim] Backups and upgrades

2017-07-12 Thread Richard Griffiths
All

I am running a DS214 play with LMS 7.9.0 - 1453293926 installed from
Synology.

Is it worth upgrading to the latest nightly via pinkdot's LMS repack?

If so, is there any easy way to backup all the prefs and plugin settings
apart from copying the relevant folders as noted in the settings page?

Thanks

Richard

Thanks for the heads-up Stig, that is great news. Spotty installed,
works flawlessly, and have to say it's blazingly fast.

Michael, thanks for your work in developing this plugin based on Paul
Liétar's librespot... can't say how glad I am that I'll still be
streaming after the 20th. Thanks also for your response re: libspotify -
very sad situation that Spotify obviate everyone's hard work with this
library.

I think all Logiteck items are my squeezebox.com/cloud. When I go to
Logiteck site, I find them there except maybe the UE which I kind of
gave up on & wife uses it as internet radio. I never tried restoring it
to the earlier settings of the others. I'll need to check and my
schedule this week is crazy.
I don't know if Logiteck Media Server is on my Mac or my iPhone; the
icon and function of Spotify is on both, however.

More details.

1. Since it is first post you can't post proper URLs - so add some
spaces between "http:" and "//"

2. If your URL has https and not http - then you'll need LMS and LMS
7.9

3. This URL http://radios.rtbf.be/pure-64.aac plays OK for but it is
AAC so if SB3, Classic, Boom etc - you need LMS. OK for Touch and Radio
via mysb.com

Yes, this will end all clients using libspotify. The names mentioned in
that linked posting are just the big names. There have been numerous
smaller players (and open-source projects) using the same library, too.
They will all go silent.
