Until last fall you could still buy iPeng Classic which works back to iOS 3 but Apple has since pulled this, too. You can still download it if you purchased it in the past and it still works but you can no longer buy it. The current iPeng 9 works with iOS 9 and newer and has backwards compatible old versions back to iOS 7 in the store but no earlier. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108628 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] iOS app for Squeezebox and UE
Pippin, I agree. It's a weird coincidence. The behavior is the same across all my iOS devices: the app launches, "Free your music" appears, it scans for devices, and then shows my Squeezebox Duet in the selection list. However, clicking on the Duet does nothing. I've gone through the usual steps, rebooting, deleting and re-adding the app, re-signing into mysqueezebox.com, etc. The original hardware Controller works just fine. So it's just the app. BTW, does iPeng work across iOS 6 devices? My old iPod4 (was) my main controller remote for my Duet. That's part of the reason I haven't engaged other options up to now. roknrol's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67950 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108628 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] What to do
I have not used this amp but have been doing some research for a similar application. I was suggesting get additional dots and plug them directly into the multi-room amplifier with the name of the zone or room. You would then use the dots in the rooms to tell Alexa to play the music in each room through the speakers: "master bedroom" dot ->multiroom amp->master bedroom speakers "living room" dot ->multiroom amp->living room speakers "kitchen" dot ->multiroom amp->kitchen speakers Squeezebox Duet ->multiroom amp "PA" input->all speakers This way you can tell Alexa from any of the other echo devices to "play Pandora in master bedroom" and it would only play music through your dot named "master bedroom". I believe you should be able to use the volume control built into Alexa directly so the keypads would not be required at all. The keypads would be convenient hardware controls in each zone but it looks like you could get the same functionality using this app and the required wifi to RS232 adapter https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/monoprice-whole-home-audio/id1168858624?mt=8 usc95's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59694 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108806 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] iOS app for Squeezebox and UE
There should be no reason an app that has been removed from the store to stop working if you still download it from iCloud or have it installed on old devices, i dont think this is related. Maybe its a certificate issue or something? The old web library might no longer be compatible or something?

Not too difficult, it's like riding a bike, fall off a few times, wobble along, Tour de France:rolleyes::) (helps to have a wheezy chest, allegedly:confused:).
