I was able to get it on my network with a static IP using the android udap configuration utility found elsewhere, but I'm happy to test yours as well. Thanks Michael! That was the perfect hint. I did add these lines to
custom-convert.conf:

Without these lines Tidal 1.2 does work as intended :cool:
The intention for this is a workaround to reencode flac files that have
a to high compression and do cause stuttering on slow devices like the
squeezeboxes I use.

Server.log does show this: Slim::Player::Song:: open (409) Error: Couldn't create command line for flc playback for [wimp://23036494.flac] Could you please check your file type settings? Did you modify some of the streaming/transcoding options? To my surprise, Tidal is still working without drop-outs, even after (2a + 2b), even though this returns the settings to their original state. What do you make of all this? Do you think that changes (1a + 1b) triggered something somewhere that actually fixed the problem? Or do you think that an intermittent problem at Tidal, or in my Internet connection, just happened to go away while I was doing these experiments? Intermittent problems can be a challenge.
