I've installed the latest development versions for as far back as I can remenber, if there's a problem, it usually gets fixed within 24 hours. If it bothers you, just install 8.2 and turn off auto updating. 35093 +---+ |Filename: updates.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35093| +---+ *Server - LMS 8.2.0 *Pi4B 4GB/Argon one case/pCP v7.0.1 - 75K library, playlists & LMS cache on SSD (ntfs) *Study -* Pi4/pCP 7.0.1/Topping E30 DAC/Ruark MR1 Mk2 *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 6.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP/Bluetooth/Echo Show 8 *Garage* - DAC32 > Edifier speakers *Spares* - 2xTouch, 1xSB Radio. 1xSB3, 6xRPi kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114239 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

For minimizing (almost) any program to the system tray you can use a little program called 'RBtray' (https://sourceforge.net/projects/rbtray/). When you have this program running in the background, right click on any program's minimize button, and it minimizes it to the system tray. | LMS 8.1.2 | Squeezebox Boom | RPi0W + pCP 7.0.1 + HiFiBerry DAC Zero | SqueezeAMP | CJS's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68700 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114766 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Works extremely well. thanks, I thought that this would be the cleanest solution. I use Squeeze Cntrl from Angry Goat, and Wayne's support is very good, so I'll try SB Player. Thank you for the reminder to use an old android phone! Often we toss them in a drawer and forget about them. I have a fish finder/water depth device called "iBobber" that I use an old phone with, in case I drop it into water :) Jim Redrum's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114766 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Another vote for Squeezelite-X for Windows. Runs in the System Tray, single click and you get a full blown LMS browser (default or Material skin, user configurable) instantly, runs in it's own window so no browser menus or tabs, etc. There is also a kiosk mode if you wish to have it on the desktop. 35088 35089 +---+ |Filename: mode.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35089| +---+ *Server - LMS 8.2.0 *Pi4B 4GB/Argon one case/pCP v7.0.1 - 75K library, playlists & LMS cache on SSD (ntfs) *Study -* Pi4/pCP 7.0.1/Topping E30 DAC/Ruark MR1 Mk2 *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 6.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP/Bluetooth/Echo Show 8 *Garage* - DAC32 > Edifier speakers *Spares* - 2xTouch, 1xSB Radio. 1xSB3, 6xRPi kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114766 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
