Re: [slim] Testers wanted
I've been listening to the flac stream for the past hour. I am not the most critical judge, but I have found the sound quality very good, indeed. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the mix. I do notice that the metadata consistently leads the audio by about 50-60 seconds. I'm playing it on a group player, and some members of the group use the Airplay bridge, all of which adds some delay to the audio, but I don't think it's even close to that much. I am using Paul's Radio Now Playing plugin. LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. Mostly virtual players, occasionally with SB Radio, Boom or Classic. Re: [slim] Testers wanted
The new hardware has been live for getting in for 36 hours and Ive obviously been monitoring whats going on. Im really pleased with the SQ especially as I know that it would be easy to improve it a little further but as far as I am concerned the FLAC stream sounds pretty damn good with zero burps during my monitoring. I have been surprised how good it sounds on my Kitchen Echo Show using Phils Alexa skill. Ive kept an eye on listener levels and I know that a number of people have popped in and out. We could really now do with some feedback on the SQ as listeners hear it if people have any. Re: [slim] Coverart in Music Folder
I know you want to use 'music folder', but have you tried using "New Music" menu item under music library. I also have a very meticulously organized artist and album folder structure, but don't find any need to use "music folder" browsing in LMS. When I add new albums to my library, they show up by most recently added within the "new music" menu option. Also, in LMS > Settings > My Music tab, I set the "new music" limit to larger than my music collection (in my case I set it to 200,000) and this way when I look at new music item, I see my complete collection, listed by date added from most recent to oldest. *Home:* Pi4B-8GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* rPi4B-4GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>foobar2000 *The Wild: *rPi3B+/pCP7.x/4TB>LMS 8.1.x>hifiberry Dac+Pro (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone11 & iPadAir3 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, Material Skin, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) *Files:* -Ripping-: dBpoweramp > FLAC; -Post-rip-: mp3tag, PerfectTunes, TuneFusion; -Streaming:- Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115304 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
