[slim] Incredible NEW 11.6 inch touchscreen Squeezebox player with Bluetooth
Well, I'm sure someone has thought of this but anyway... A really nice large touchscreen Squeezebox player can be made from ANY TOUCHSCREEN CHROME NOTEBOOK, ESPECIALLY ONE THAT CONVERTS TO A TABLET (FOR EXAMPLE, THE FLEX 3) SQUEEZE-CTRL AS AN INTERFACE FOR THE TOUCHSCREEN ANDROID SQUEEZEBOX PLAYER BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS Price range 50 USD and up depending on if you want it refurbed or not. The Squeeze-CTRL interface really makes it finger friendly. While the speakers don't usually sound too great, the Bluetooth sure does. What do you think? For ease of setup and use, this is a picoreplayer killer. http://one.net http://have-a-nice-day.org http://www.last.fm/user/zzzoneDOTnet http://somethingsomethingsomething.net SBS 8.3 - i7 nuc - Win 10 64bit 2 Booms,,2 Radio, 1 Touch, 2 piCorePlayers including 3 touchscreen Apps including iSqueeze Ctrl etc. 'Library' (http://zzzone.net/photo/2009/music1.jpg): 450,000+ FLAC/MP3 files - 16 TB HD jimzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17592 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117088 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Yeah, I suppose - with track selection you mean? That's a lot of tap-clicks on an android phone is the only thing. Perfect with a mouse. Or is there some equivalent of shift-selecting on android?? manx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70875 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117077 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] WiFi Extenders and LAN
In my new WiFi6 setup (damn!) I've got the Router, with a few Ethernet sockets, a wireless TV box with an Ethernet socket, and a WiFi extender box again with an Ethernet socket. (French Freebox Pop kit, for what it's worth). Obviously, those two extension boxes can connect WiFi to the router, or can connect LAN to the router. However, I "assumed" that, with the boxes connected to the router via WiFi, their LAN sockets would be outputs as well as inputs - and I could plug a Touch or a Radio into them, bypassing the troublesome WiFi6. But, so far as I can tell, the LANs are IN only - an SB device plugged in reports "No LAN Connection". (Those on the Router work fine as OUT). Is that "as expected"? In my innocence, I thought that LAN sockets were always both IN and OUT. Am I wrong, as it seems? 8.2.1 - 1639114554 Win11 Control: Web GUI; MaterialSkin on Android phones / pads Machines / devices are in France, in two locations. a) Livebox 6 Internal HDD (FLAC music; mp3 voice), LAN Desktop 3 x Touch - 1 wireless, 2 LAN. Wonderful stuff! And what a great community of expertise and innovation etill exists here. That said, is there any chance at all that the SB kit can solve the WiFi6 incompatibility issue?
