Re: [slim] LMS Scanner 8.31 failing
Did you try a full wipe & rescan? And please check your drive's state: is there enough free disk space on C:? Is the filesystem ok? ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] LMS Scanner 8.31 failing
On like the 10th try, the scanner stalled at about the same place but I left it scanning because I wasn't watching it closely. Inexplicably, the scanner started moving again and completed scanning my nearly 450k files. However, it now stalls and aborts early in the artwork pre-caching stage. I saw in one of the scanner logs that a GIF was corrupt. I then scanned all my files for corrupt picture files with Bad Peggy. I found and deleted less than 100 bad graphics files but the scanner still aborts at the pre-caching stage. Thoughts? Mine are as follows: 1. Why did LMS happily scan my files until recently yet there have been no substantial changes to my setup other than Windows updates and Plex updates? 2. Why does it stall when newly scanning files at about 75k and then resume scanning as if nothing happened? 3. Why does the scanner stall on the artwork pre-caching now and completely abort? I like detective work but I would rather just use the system. Fortunately the system does play now, at least. I have attached the scanner log again and a screenshot to show where it stalls/aborts. Thanks for any help. Re: [slim] SqueezePlay for Windows with ASIO, DirectSound, WASAPI and WDMKS device support.
A new build 'SqueezePlay-setup-8.0.1r1420.exe' (https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezeplay/windows/) for windows is available. Fixes the premature ending of tracks. Connects via discovery to a user supplied remote library/server defined using the choose music source applet. Re: [slim] New modified SqueezeAMP batch?
Just wondering if there is an option to set limit to max volume when using squeezeAmp Bluetooth sink or at least set default volume after connecting to Bluetooth devices. My partner prefers to use native tidal application instead of LMS so Bluetooth is great option for her. However win 11 laptop doesn't seems to remember previous volume value and blasts at 100 volume after connecting to squeezeAmp. I doubt there is anything in Windows (unless I missed it) but perhaps it can be somehow set on squeezeAmp page with parameters etc? I guess you should start over with a wipe/rescan. I thought of that myself. However, when I checked the files, the .cue file is always located in a directory with the files that it is referencing. Why is LMS reporting this as an error? And this doesn't explain why LMS happily scanned my files for a year or so until now? Any other thoughts? The log file you initially posted had probably thousands of "referenced file not found" or similar errors. CUE sheets pointing at WAV/FLAC files they didn't find. I guess you should start over with a wipe/rescan. Michael "It doesn't work - what shall I do?" - "Please check your server.log and/or scanner.log file!"
