[slim] Slimserver and reconnecting to radio streams
Hi folks, I am running SlimServer 6.5x on Windows 2003 Server and have run into a little problem. The slimserver has been tuned into a single radio station feed and currently streams to around 10 players. There is a little problem with this setup which I am hoping to fix, namely, if for any reason the slimserver looses sight of the radio feed it wont reconnect and I have to manually click Play on the server. Does anyone know of a mod or a code change that can allow me to set a flag to tell the server to continously keep retrying to establish the link to the radio feed if it gets disconnected? Have you looked into the Barix line of products (exstreamer and instreamer)? I want to route the MMS stream away from the real source as where that is located has bandwidth I do not want to eat into. What I was hoping to get away from was having 2 applications on the same server. I could stream the real MMS source to the slimserver hardware and restream it using some other application but I was wondering if I could get slimserver to do it all for me.
