If I want to play random tracks from a specific artist, I use the artist
context menu > -Dynamic Playlists 3- > -songs random (by selected
artist)-. Sth similar exists for albums, genres, years, playlists too.
For a shortcut/preset/favorite you'd have to create your own -custom-
dynamic playlist with the artist/album name baked into it so that it's a
*one-click* favorite/preset and it won't ask you questions (which
artist/album) before it starts playing. If you're not familiar with
SQLite and don't mind beta versions, you could use the beta version of
'*Dynamic Playlist Creator*'
(https://github.com/AF-1/lms-dynamicplaylistcreator#dynamic-playlist-creator---beta)
to create a custom dynamic playlist tailored to your specific needs.

Maybe '*Dynamic Playlists 3*'
(https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?115073-Announce-Dynamic-Playlists-3-(mod))
is worth a look. You can use one of the -built-in- dynamic playlists or
create your own -custom- dynamic playlist. A dynamic playlist is a smart
playlist that will *play* tracks matching your parameters. It's *not*
about creating track *lists*.
