2010-02-26 Thread Eivindz

This was really helpful. Thanks a lot!

I'll go with the ipod.

[slim] Controller vs ipod touch

2010-02-26 Thread Eivindz

Can you give me any good reasons for buying the SB controller instead of
an ipod touch (which is much more than a remote control and costs
approx. the same)?

Re: [slim] Harmony One/SB Classic+Radio conflict

2010-02-11 Thread Eivindz

I'll try out these solutions.

I agree; the easiest would be to just block the IR on the radio. I
don't use it anyway.

I'll probably end up buying a Controller. That will solve the problem,
right?

[slim] Harmony One/SB Classic+Radio conflict

2010-02-10 Thread Eivindz

I have a SB Classic and a SB Radio which I've tried to control with my
Harmony One remote. It works fine, except that when I try to control one
of them, I conrol both (they are in the same room). I installed the
Classic and Radio as two separate activities.

Any suggestions?

OK, then I'll try VNC. Does it work with the free version?

I don't have my PS3 for the moment, but I'll try it when I get it back.

I want to control Spotify (not Squeeze Center) with PS3. I want the
Spotify-screen from my PC on my TV.

[slim] Squeezebox + Spotify + PS3 = ???

2009-09-24 Thread Eivindz

I'm trying to figure out a way to control Spotify from my living room.
Is it possible to control the PC with a PS3? I have tried something
called teamviewer on my laptop earlier. This application made it
possible to control my stationary Slim Server PC with my laptop, and
thus control Spotify in my living room. The problem is that I don't want
to have my laptop up and running in the living room.

What if you could use an application like teamviewer on the PS3? This
would be a neat solution. Search for music on your TV-screen with the
PS3 and stream the music from the PC to the squeezebox.

(I live in Norway. We don't have access to Napster.)

Re: [slim] Annoying Napster info

2009-07-19 Thread Eivindz

It doesn't bother me anymore either, but it is was very misleading and
confusing when I first saw it. Why bother translating an ad for
something that is not available? It made me spend a lot of time trying
to figure out whether I could use Napster or not.

[slim] Annoying Napster info

2009-07-17 Thread Eivindz

Anyone else annoyed by all the info about Napster, both on the Logitech
website and even on the player itself? Info is mostly a good thing, but
both the website and the player say, IN NORWEGIAN (I'm Norwegian), that
you can register for a free trial when in fact this service isn't
available in my country. Is this also the case for other countries
outside US, Canada, UK and Germany?
