[slim] Random within a selected year
Is it possible to play random tracks from a selected year, or even a selected decade. I can't see any obvious way at the moment. I used to have this feature on another bit of software and I found it really handy. e.g. play a random mix of stuff I've bought this year. If not, 7.0 PLEASE? ceejay, Yes I've now realised that about the FF/RWD. I had that feature on my old CD player - never used it once it 18 years! Anyway, another question. Does WMA lossless get transcoded to FLAC to stream to the Squeezebox by default? What difference would it make to sound quality? I presume none - lossless is lossless after all. I have all my stuff in WMA (for historical reasons - let's not get into that argument) and can't be bothered converting to FLAC. I'm assuming the only downside is that my PC has to do a bit more work to decode in the Slimserver? I have my suspicions that it may be some other setting taht I've chosen that is conflicting - although I didn't change much from the default. How can I get rid of all my server config settings? Didn't have any plug-ins! Just rescanned, then reinstalled, still not working. All tags are properly populated when I click on the track detail. Softsqueeze also has same symptoms. There seems to be a problem with the ARTIST tag in any settings that affect the display on the Squeezebox or the Web interface. Absolutely - you got it. I've tried changing to "Artist - Title" and "Title(Artist)" but to no effect. In fact anything the artist is not appearing at all. Hi guys, Just upgraded to 6.5.0 and I now have no artist information on the Squeezebox display in "Now Playing" - just the track no and song title. I've been into player settings and chosen the relevant "Now playing" setting to include artist.
