Re: [slim] Napster - Can't see Napster Playlists !

2009-10-24 Thread Flipper

I am not able to see some of my Napster playlists via any of my
SqueezeBox units. They show up just fine via the Napster PC client.

Up until late September / Early October everything was working fine.

[slim] Napster Playlist Content Deleted?

2009-04-09 Thread Flipper

I created two playlists in SC. One had 100% Napster tracks and the other
was a mix of Napster and tracks from my PC's hard disk (same PC running
SC).

Went to play them today and all of the Napster content has gone missing
from these two playlists. The playlist that was 100% Napster is empty.
The playlist that was mixed only has the tracks from my local PC
remaining.

Any thoughts?

Re: [slim] Napster - Now Playing List issue

2009-04-02 Thread Flipper

I'm not sure. It could be for the first problem I reported. I will play
around a bit to recreate the problem and check the list carefully. Part
of the problem of course is going to be that I can't scroll through the
entire list to see all of the playlist.

For the second issue I reported, there are no extra items in the
playlist. Would they show up on the controller? What I see from the
controller is the time to play for the song that just finished changes
to 59:xx and starts counting down again. I have not waited the hour to
see if the next song will play after that or not.

Re: [slim] Napster - Now Playing List issue

2009-03-29 Thread Flipper

Noticed another issue that happens periodically.

When playing a playlist or album via Napster, at times the song will
not advance as expected. When I check out the now playing screen the
time remaining in the song is counting down from I assume one hour as
the time remaining always says 59:xx when this happens. If I advance
the track manually then it works fine.

Not noticing this or my previously posted issue when using SC.

Note that in the past I did notice this song advance issue with SC but
I have not had the happen in a couple releases of SC now.

[slim] Napster - Now Playing List issue

2009-03-25 Thread Flipper

Signed up for the Napster trial and the whole family is enjoying it.

I noticed an issue this evening while scrolling through my now playing
list on the SB controller. I selected an album with approximately 21
tracks. If I attempt to scroll through all of the tracks in the now
playing list, I can never get past track 14 or 15. At this point the
scrolling stops. If I continue to scroll forward I get the audible
feedback that I have moved on to the next track but the display does
not update. If I continue to scroll forward eventually I end up back at
the top of this list and then the display updates.

Has anyone else experienced this? Suggestions?

Re: [slim] Wireless Access Point / Router Compatability - Duet update plse !

2008-10-23 Thread Flipper

I recently upgraded from a Linksys BEFW11S4 which was giving me many
issues to a Linksys WRT54GL based on recommendations from this forum.

The 54GL has been working great with the stock fw.

Re: [slim] Controller doesn't reconnect to network after sleep - Please post your issues

2008-10-15 Thread Flipper

Made a change to my Linksys BEFW11S4 config which appears to have
increased stability of my setup so far. I made the change approximately
3 days ago.

I changed the client lease time setting to 5 from 0. Linksys
documentation indicates that 0 means a DHCP lease time of 2 days but I
have to wonder.

Since I made this change I have not experienced any connectivity issues
and I was regularly experiencing them before. I can see from the DHCP
table that clients are getting the same IP address when I power cycle,
etc.

Yesterday I also turned off the wireless power save as mentioned
earlier in this thread. I don't believe this made much difference in my
case. I plan to disable it after a few days of stability to see.

[slim] MusicIP and SBC playlist problem

2008-10-13 Thread Flipper

Configuration
I am running SC 7.2
Music IP v1.8b headless (as per spicefly instructions)
SC plugins configured for MusicIP integration
Windows XP
SBC and receiver are connected to my Linksys wireless router.

I am really enjoying the MusicIP integration. The mixes it generates is
leading me to rediscover much of my music collection that I would not
have played otherwise.

I have a strange issue with some playlists that are generated. When the
second to last song in the playlist is over (song 11/12), the last song
is not played. When I look at the SBC screen, it shows there is ~ 60
minutes left in the 11th song, but there is no music playing. If I skip
to the next song (12th), a song in the playlist will play but not the
last one remaining. This also causes the now playing screen status
(from the home menu) and the now playing status on the playlist screen
(treble clef) to be out of sync in that they indicate different songs
are playing. The now playing screen is the correct one of the two.

This does not happen everytime, but I would say ~80-90% of the time.

Any suggestions?

[slim] Browsing by Artist

2008-10-08 Thread Flipper

I am interested to know if I can adjust the default behaviour of my
menus on my SBC.

There are many times when I am building a playlist that I like to
browse by artist and see all the songs by the artist in a single list.
In order to do that on my SBC I need to access Library Artist All
Songs.

The All Songs option always appears at the end of the album list I
get after selecting Artist which means I have to scroll through the
albums to access the All Songs option.

I would like to be able to see all songs by default after selecting
Artist. If this is not possible moving the All Songs option to the
top of the menu after choosing Artist would be an improvement.

Re: [slim] Controller doesn't reconnect to network after sleep - Please post your issues

2008-10-03 Thread Flipper

New user here.

Brought my Duet last weekend. Had quite a hard time getting it all to
work on Saturday when I brought it home. Not sure what sequence of
events got it working as I was resetting and rebooting in frustration
and it started to work.

Sunday morning I had to repeat this exercise to get it running again.

This evening I paid more attention to what was going on. I started from
a point of having SC running on the PC and both the receiver and the SBC
were off.

I turned on the receiver and it connected to SC. Checked the DHCP
client table on my Linksys BEFW11S4 (FW 1.52.02) and I could see the
receiver. I could also see the receiver from SC on my PC.

Turned on the SBC and all I got was the connecting to Squeezbox message
but never connecting. Performed a factory reset on the SBC and then it
would not connect to my wireless network. Just kept getting the screen
with the revolving circles telling me it was attempting to connect to
my network but it never would. Checked my router and there was no
evidence of the SBC on the network.

Called tech support and they basically had me reboot and reset
everything. Finally got me up and running until the next time

What is strange to me is that despite the fact that everything is
working, my Linksys router does not show the SBC in the DHCP clients
table.

If I dump the arp cache on my PC (Windows XP) I can see the SBC and the
receiver and I can also ping them both.

Suggestions welcome. I love this product when it is working.
