[slim] Pandora One ?
Upgraded to Pandora One which is 192kbps and I am curious if SC is streaming at that bit rate now becuase SC indicates only 128kbps. If I use the web or the new Pandora One App the songs are streamed at 192kbps. Is there a way to enable the higher bit rate via SC? I have a custon-convert.conf file in /squeezecenter which is linked to /slimnas/usr/share/Slim but there is no custom-convert.conf located there. Do you have a custom-convert.conf file I can place there? I have researched with no sucess. Can someone help me play iTunes Plus (Non DRM) w/ SC 7.3.3. and FreeNAS? Is this possible? Enabled in SC and I get the following error: Slim::Networking::UPnP::ControlPoint::search (72) Warning: Failed to initialize multicast socket, disabling UPnP. One network 192.168.1.0/24 and no firewalls and running SC on FreeNAS if that makes a difference. Thanks dude that was the problem...the SB3 had the wrong MAC of the SC server and once I changed that all was good. Within this menu you can view the value of the SqueezeCenter MAC address. Confirm that this value matches the actual MAC address of the SC7 system. If it does not, it may match the MAC address of your wireless bridge. In this case you can edit the value and see if it sends the magic packet to the correct MAC address (I've no idea whether it is stored or not as this never been a problem for me). If none of this is applicable to you, try connecting the PC and SB3 together directly using a patch cord and see if you can wake the PC using the SB3 (will need to assign IP addresses to both manually). [slim] SB3 and Wake On LAN
I have read where a SB3 will send the magic packet based on the last MAC and IP address of the server the SB3 was attached toThe problem is I can use an application that send the magic packet to wake up the PC running SS successfully, but when I power on any of 3 SB3, the SB3s do not wake up PC running SS. Is there another setting and I need to change or am I missing something here. I am confused. If the box is off and WOL is enabled in the BIOS and the 5v is on, indicated by the activity light on the NIC and on the MBWhat does the OS have to do with WOL? As I said earlier, I am using the WOL APP from Solarwinds and that works just fine. As I said earlier I can access the share from Vista with out issues so I am thinking it is a SC issue. Also, do I need to wait until the scanning is complete as I have ~2TB of music... I am having the same issue but from a Vista 64 box. All my data is a on a NAS which I can access from Vista just fine but SC 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 jjst hangs on music folder. Very frustrating and I may install an older version of SS. I created a share \\computername\Itunes and pointed Slimserver to that share, which it did not complain about. I have both the files M4A and M4P. Will Slimserver pick up the non-DRM files and how will they show up in Slimserver, under playlists etc...? Just tonight one of my SB3 lost it's wireless connection, while all other wireless devices are fine and I spent way to much time attaching the SB3 back to the wireless network...Way too much time and I can not tell you what I did specifically. Given the bugs in the server (which I will not get into), the front bezel coming off and the amount of time I have spent tweaking/troubleshooting I have come to the conclusion it is time for a refund of both my SB3s. Great concept, but not ready for the masses. ArrrgThis is very frustrating as it makes no sense! Just for kicks I pointed SS to a share that contains only one of the directories I am having issues with and turned debugging on for artwork. As I expected the artworks still does not show and here is the log generated and seems like SS is in a loopIndicates that the a Found cached thumb file: and nothing ever shows up and no I am expereincing SS posting two artworks thumbnails for the same album. [slim] Am I loosing my mind? AC3?
Last night I played multi-channel AC3 files via my squeezebox digital out to my Anthem D1 and now this morning when I select a directory with the AC3 files SS shows the directory as empty. Am I losing my mind or does SS have a mind of its own. Between this and artwork not working properly I am about to pull my hair out! Arrrgg! I have come to the conclusion quite a bit is not up to par w/ SS. Seems that SS has a mind of its own. [slim] Cue Files Can not open files.
What is the trick to enable slimserver to read the *.cue files in the directory? If I have a cue file in the directory slim server indicates can not open file. Is there an option in server settings to enable this? Please advise this is aggravating to say the least. Why does some artwork show up and others do not under browse artwork and all directories are the same. If I click on the directory under browse music folder the artwork show up, but not under browse artwork. What am I missing here? I have done just about everything. Uninstalled, deleted the slimserver directory, reinstalled, upgraded to 6.5b. Currently I have a file named cover.jpg in the directory with the tracks. The same as the others that are showing up under browse artwork. Very frustratingFor example here is my path, ./music/album-name/tracks w/ cover.jpg. Upgraded to 6.5b1 and now Slim Devices Picks does not show up under Internet Radio under the browser even though I have that checked and it shows up on the SB3Any ideas or should I go back to the release version? [slim] SB3s falling apart...:(
I have two week old SB3s one on the HT and one in my office and both seem to be coming apart. [slim] Cue files not working
Is there any reason why a directory with a cue file will not play? If I remove the cue file and select the wav file manually, then the file will play. Is this by design or a bug?
