Re: [slim] Weird pauses at end of track in random
This bug has been a real thorn in my side, but I caught a pattern tonight that I will test. It happend twice today that the music never advanced to the next song and the next song had an apostrophe in the file name. Could it be that simple? Check your playlist to see if the next song has an apostrophe. I am checking by renaming the files to have no apostrophe and seeing if it makes a difference or if it was a coincidence today. If so, it would make sense that not all the people here are having the problem. So do I thank or curse Robie Nevil and C'est La Vie... That is the song title that caught my eye... and followed a song that never ended. Re: [slim] repair of squeezebox?
Yippeee for you! Glad to hear of your good fortune. I have a SB Boom and a Duet and am in love... Thus am happy for your success... I listen to my SB Boom on my nightstand, but when my wife wants quiet sleep with headphones and my iPod, which I keep under the covers so as not to pull it off the nightstand. Not a good idea with a Squeezebox of any kind, however. Sometimes my iPod falls between the mattress and the headboard, which is a pain to retrieve, sometimes I wake in the middle of the night with a headphone cord wrapped across my face or neck... Not a pain per-se, but definitely a weird bedtime experience... I have found through experience the best headphones to listen to when falling asleep are the street style, behind the head, type. The headpiece rides on the back of the neck and is much more comfortable than the over the head type. Not hi-fidelity, but a cheap pair from Target does the trick and if I ruin them in my sleep, I won't cry. What kind of nighttime headphones are you using? Back to work for me! Enjoy your music tonight. Paul deserttaxguy;383324 Wrote: All is good again. As soon as i put the power cable on, the logo screen came right up. sebp;378640 Wrote: Since you can reproduce this problem quite easily, please set your player.source log level to debugging, and post the log on the bug report. My player got stuck again... The duet remote screen has the now playing image and track info, but the time on the bottom left goes from 4:35 back to 4:03 and the time on the right goes from -59:59 down to -59:30 and cycles again. This is the log that is created after setting the player.source log level to debug. Pressing advance starts the next song but I think we can agree that you shouldn't periodically have to kick it in the butt to advance to the next song! Paul Hopefully someone can make sense of this. [slim] Pandora Free vs Subscription.
I have had a free Pandora account for quite some time and just yesterday started playing it via my Squeezebox Duet. Works like a charm. Puzzled though because I read that for $36/year you can get a non-advertising subscription. I don't hear any ads. Am I missing something, or not listening closely enough? It streams at 128kbs and sounds great. Kids have their own channels as well. Re: [slim] Weird pauses at end of track in random
Noticed this on my install. Maybe twice in the past week. Not sure if it was in random mode. Checked the time remaining on the song and it was many minutes longer than the actual song. Using Windows software on WHS box.
