I could not play a .m4a file. But I went to http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/AAC and edit my /etc/squeezecenter/convert.conf file to add in the text it said. But then mine would play static on .m4a songs. So I deleted the -x from the text file and now it's playing my .m4a music very good again. I had to do a: apt-get install faad Allso to get it to work. Today I got kenradio working. Went to port 9000 and under INTERNET RADIO I did Tune In URL and pasted in http://www.kenradio.com/rss.php; at the right side it did a play list of the last 10 days of kenradio. Now I like to know if I can just get it saved some place so I can turn on my slimp3 player and under radio do the today kenradio that is the 1st on on the play list it did. I herd that on KenRaido. I guess all on here has to to play music with the slim devices. So are they going to go after people who sell mp3 players and slim devices? Thank you. Looks like I got it fixed. In the web Player Settings I had a old IP for Player name: I guess I thought it was for some other computer. So I did not go to the menu. [slim] The today link on kenradio can it play in SlimServer?
This link works in SlimServer http://www.kenradio.com/audio/kenradio-31-1-2006.mp3 But I don't want to type in a new link every day. I tested all 3 of the today links but none worked. There is: http://www.kenradio.com/audio/ today.asx today.htm today.ram It would be nice to use the today link and not put in the date every time to play it Mon to Friday. [slim] How to trun off Screensaver?
This has been on my SLIMp3 player for close to a year now because I have not found out how to turn it off. It will say on my Slimp3 box this: Visualizer Screen saver Needs Squeezebox2 I guess I have the squeezebox1. I don't know if I turn it off with the remote or in the Slimserver. My bothers kids are over here and I showed them one time how to play music on my Slimp3 player. They are about 10 and 12 years old. I went to work and when I got home it looked like it had no power no display because it all ways shows the date and time when the power is off. I unpluged the power and back in. As soon as it said looking for a DHCP server it went blank. I found out it worked if I turned it on. So the display works. I then know the date and clock was turn off some how. I asked the kids if they turn it off. They don't know. I guess they did some thing that turn it off. I went in the settings and every place I can think of and can't turn it on. I went to: SLIMP3 Home (7 of 7) Settings Settings (10 of 12) Screensaver (off) Screensaver (off) Date and Time I can press any thing on the remote and it just stays off! The text will move about half a letter over for a sec. But that's it. I even went to port 9000 to see if I could set it in there but I can't find were. I did the plug in Date and time and if I keep it on and do nothing after about 1 min. It shows the Date and Time just like it did when I had the power off. When it's off it is blank! How do I get it back? I search this Forum again and found that is you press the Brightness button when the power is off it will turn on or off the date and time when the power is off. That's a good way to do it.
