Re: [slim] Boom Radio
Thanks All, I wasn't copying the link properly as you correctly suggested. I knew it would be something simple :) acanning's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13303 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113942 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I'm running Material Skin, I go into favorites and then click on add favorite and enter the url. It gets added to my list but when I click play nothing happens. In fact nothing happens for any of the links in this thread. Please can someone help me understand what am I doing wrong? Re: [slim] New high-quality FLAC music streams from Naim Audio
Thanks for your help guys, I was able to add it directly as a favourite using Material, didn't know you could do that :) Incidentally, under Radio I only have 'Search Tunein' and not the 'Tune In Url' option? Re: [slim] New high-quality FLAC music streams from Naim Audio
Hi I don't see how to play these streams on my system. Is there a particular plugin I need in which to paste these urls? Re: [slim] SAMBA Permission - Create File Mode - value?
Typically, as soon as I typed my previous post I found the solution I just hit the 'write permissions' button next to the Mount Point and it solved the problem. Not sure exactly what that does but it works. :D acanning's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13303 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109090 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] SAMBA Permission - Create File Mode - value?
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but Im having the same issue as the OP. I have a 500GB usb drive which I have formatted using GParted as ext4 and MBR (I think). I have mounted the drive in PiCoreplayer v6 and installed Samba. I have successfully created the share using file mode 0664. I can see the drive in Windows put dont have any write permissions. Id like to create some new Directories and copy some music across. Im not sure of the difference between MBR and GPT so not sure if that makes a difference? I tried running the command chmod -R tc.staff /mnt/Music as suggested but I get an error chmod: invalid mode 'tc.staff' Thanks Ashley acanning's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13303 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109090 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Bufferring issue with HD files from NAS; same files OK from Imac
It depends on what your priorities are. If you're concerned about the sound quality, and I would guess that you are if you're bothering with the high-res files, then you need to get a Touch to benefit from the increased resolution. A new server solution will carry out the transcoding but what is the point when this will negate the possible sound improvements. If you can't find a Touch anywhere I would permanently transcode the files to 24/48 and then put them on the Nas. Re: [slim] Cannot play anything since 7.5.3
I also have a similar problem. I like to browse through my music using the folder structure and this worked fine before I upgraded to 7.5.3. Now it doesn't seem to want to play any of the wav files (most of my music) but does seem to play mp3 files...very odd. I'm just doing a complete rescan to see if that helps but I'm not optimistic. Can anyone help?
