Happy new year to all of you! I started years back with a Squeezebox v3, had several Receivers, a Boom, a Radio and am stuck now with a Receiver and a 3rd party device (from Sonore). I can't say, the system never failed me, but at least not in the last 10 years. [slim] Missing meta data after transcode / download music files to my phone
Hi All my music on my server is in FLAC format. Some of the files, I'd like to have on my phone as well and I download them with Squeeze Commander. I use some transcoding / downloading function, so the files end up on my phone in MP3 format. This works nicely, but the meta data (artists, albums, etc) is missing. I don't know, whether this is something to address on the server side, as I think the transcoding is done there. Does anybody know a solution? It might well be, that the transcoding is done for streaming and the meta data is not needed for this. I liked this idea and I guess city names would be OK from a legal point of view. "Squeezebox" Woodstock (for a new boom box with battery to take outside) "Squeezebox" Sidney (for a high-end device to listen to operas) "Squeezebox" Montreux (for a player with integrated amplifier to take on stage) Of course, the term "Squeezebox" would have to be replaced. For me, squeeze box and server where always used with my local music in my flat only. So I don't need any integration into social media (don't use them anyway) and for that matter, don't use any on-line service. [slim] Problem with Controller home menu updates
Perhaps I'm the only one...? I realy like the possibilities to configure my own home menu on the squeezebox controller. But, the refresh of the configured menu is not correct. I just removed all the menu items but - Browse Artist - Music Library - Settings - Repeat Off - Choose Player >From time to time, the "Off" of the repeat menu ist on the line of the "Music Library". Scrolling all the menus with the wheel does fix this, so it's not a big deal, and I cannot say after how much time or after what action this happens. It's not reproducible, but it turns up from time to time. Does anybody else has the some effect on the controller? I do use squeezecenter 7.2 and jive r2873. So slimdevice testers, just make a note and the next time you stumble over this problem, take some 10 minutes to investigate, don't spend more time as it's only a minor problem. -- andifor andifor's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51778 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
