[slim] Fishbone - the root of all evil?
Does anyone else have significant problems with the fishbone skin? It is by far the best skin function wise, but when i try to access the localhost:9000 on my server machine, using Fishbone ALWAYS shuts down the server on the SERVER machine. My laptop on the network has no problems accesing fishbone (and if i start the server and QUICKLY close the browser on the server machine before it fails to load, the server will stay on) - but keeping fishbone as the interace just causes tons of problems on the server machine, in particular it doesn't load and then the server shuts down. Any solutions to this one? -- bigmdime bigmdime's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4956 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31415 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

It's unique to you. It sounds like your install is the culprit. If you upgraded over a previous release then you probably have some old HTML templates around. Someone very well may chime in with specific files to remove, or you could do a reinstall (making sure you clean up the old version first). Ben i did many reinstalls - clean ones - before i realized that the culprit - for me - was fishbone. none of the reinstalls helped. i used to run 6.3 so if there are old files somewhere that may be causing this i'd be curious to know. -- bigmdime bigmdime's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4956 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31415 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

If you're streaming from the computer, it doesn't really matter - if you get dropouts one way, try it the other way. Thanks - i's not for squeezenetwork but for streaming from the computer. moving the cable box/router isn't insignificant for me. right now both are wfi and i'm getting drop-outs. so i have to move the wire to one or the other. which is more likely to fix the problem? i'd rather just move it once. -- bigmdime bigmdime's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4956 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31371 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I seem to have - if not solved the problem - found a way to make it go away after the fact (although it's not an ideal solution). By erasing the db file, and then rescanning completely, it seems the missing files have reappeared. That said, i'm not 100% confident this will work in all cases, or if i won't see it again... can someone with missing files try this? -- bigmdime bigmdime's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4956 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21776 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

On some of my CDs, i can not get some tracks to play after ripping to FLAC. They don't show up at all on the slimserver, and on squeezebox i can see them but get a can't find file for: error whenever trying to play them. This has happened to all tracks but one on one of my CDs, and half the tracks on another. Any suggestions?
