After 4 reboots the problem went away, so I guess it was not the slimserver that was having issues, however, the problem started about the time I has having problems with my DNS server and and stopped after my DNS server was fixed. [slim] slimserver 6.2.2 on windows xp fails to start as a service
My slimserver 6.2.2 resently stoped working as an XP service recently after a reboot. I now get the following Event App error: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Can't call method "PushSelf" on an undefined value at /PerlApp/Slim/Utils/Misc.pm line 132. The really old thing is that if I try to run the slim.exec file in the server installation folder, in a cmd shell, the server runs.
