Re: [slim] Synchronization for dummies
Hello, Just my two cents since I have 3 players (Duet, SB3 and Boom) and have been confused and mixed up a couple of times trying to sync players. It gets really confusing when using the SBC to control all of the devices, bouncing back and forth selecting which device to control and then trying to sync from whatever is currently selected. I think part of the problem is with the concept of sync with It is not specific enough. Why not use new terms like join and share? And, give both choices to the user no matter what box they are currently controlling. For example, if I have the SBC currently on the Duet receiver and want to sync with the Boom, I would get the choices to 1. Join Boom or 2. Share with Boom. The first choice to Join would have whatever is playing on the Boom also play on the Duet. The choice to Share would have whatever is playing on the Duet also play on the Boom. Would that make things more clear? -- markbieg markbieg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19340 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=59032 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Rhapsody Subscribers....
Mark: 1 Month Credit (January 2009)...and was told by their tech support to just keep calling for monthly credits until it is fixed. [slim] Runaway Volume
I sent the following message to Logitech Support, but I really want to konw if anyone has experienced this problem: When pressing the volume up button on the SBC and then releasing the button, the volume continued to increase out of control. Then in a panic to turn it down, the same problem occured as the volume continued to decrease after releasing the button until all the way down. This problem happened twice now in two completely different situations. The first time it happened when using the SBC with the SBR on one audio system. I thought it was a fluke. But, a few days later it happened again on a different audio system with the SBC controlling a SB3. It is not simply a delayed response of the volume when holding down the volume button (as I have experienced many times), but a quick press and release of the volume button (to attempt to turn up volume just a notch) with the quite shocking and loud result of runaway volume. Thanks. Mark. -- markbieg markbieg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19340 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51240 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Is RadioParadise Album Art on Squeezebox Controller possible?
I was wondering if anyone was working on a way to display Album Cover Art on the Squeezebox Controller for RadioParadise. I know the artwork is not displayed for basic internet radio, but there should be a way for someone to get the artwork from the RadioParadise site based on what is currently playing. I don't fully understand what info is being sent via an internet radio station stream that is different from the stream of Pandora or Rhapsody. Can someone explain the difference? I know there are a lot of talented programmers on this forum and I'm sure someone is just itching to step up to the challenge of displaying real-time cover art with the RP stream on the SB Controller! I'm sure Bill at RadioParadise would even help out from his side if needed. -- markbieg markbieg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19340 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51031 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
