[slim] Controller Lag
Hi Everyone, I love the product but i'm having one issue. After listening to music for awhile the SB Duet Controller will lose connection to the SB and the computer and be really laggy until it reconnects 30secs to 2 mins later. I don't know why the controller keeps dropping off. My SB is connected via ethernet , not wireless, and it is connecting to a macbook also connected via ethernet with the new Slimserver 7.0.1 Lastly, I haven't been able to upgrade the controller firmware and it gives me an error when i try and when I tried to manually download the file it wasn't available anymore. I think I may have solved the problem, and this should help for other people facing this problem. I did upgrade to 7.1 and it still have major issues with wpa2 WEP is the only thing that works for me. [slim] Ethernet Only
I was under the assumption that you don't really require wifi because of the ethernet port on the squeeze box, and was hoping I could use ethernet with the controller connecting to the squeezebox. I have wifi in my house but it is disconnecting a lot and it isn't inconvenient to hardwire the squeezebox. How do I make the squeezebox exclusively use ethernet. I see where you can select ethernet during set up but the controller still tries to login to my wifi network. Hi, I already did a factory reset, no go. I think I have bigger problems, It won't connect to ethernet at all, it just says unable to connect to your ethernet network. I tried this via a router and directly out to the internet neither worked. DO you think there might be something physically wrong with my SB. I was experience serious disconnect problems via wifi and WPA , i had to switch to WEP but I don't like using WEP. [slim] 7.2 Restarting Mp3s
I just upgraded to 7.2 and when i'm listening to a 5 hour mp3, it keeps restarting to the beginning after listening for about 30 minutes.
