[slim] EQ does not do anything
I have a squeeze box connected to an inexpensive Onkyo receiver. Just recently installed the Inguz EQ, but it does not do anything. I can change the EQ settings, but it has no affect on the sound. Tried with headphones, and then through 5.1 playback, and nothing. Also get no sound when using squeeze server to play songs on my PC. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? [slim] i don't see much discussion on SC 7.0
I have been gone for a while, and I have never done much customizing with SS. I got my SB set up and hace left it alone. I now see mention of SC 7.0, but after searching have found very little discussion about it. A few folks having trouble with it running very slow, but not much else. Are there discussions I am missing? Is it old news by now? If I am happy with SS, should I bother with SC? Am I not looking in the right place for the information on SC? I have a very similar problem. Not sure if it is for the same reason, but probably so. In my case, so far I have not had to rescan my entire library. I have been able to scan for changes, and it has "found" lost music. I am also disappointed in finding multiple entries for the same album. I also get one track left for a particular album, after rescanning I get the entire album again. Unfortunately, in one case anyway, I still get the listing for the album with just the one track also, so have two entries when browsing. [slim] keep having to "rescan" music library
Hi All, I have had my SB for a few weeks, and enjoying it. I find I have to rescan my music library a couple of times a week.I will be browsing using the remote for the SB, find an artist, but when I try to play I will get the message "folder empty", or "unknown file format". After rescanning I can find and play everything with no problems. This evening I was unable to add songs to a playlist on SS until after I had done the rescan. My music files are stored on an external drive. Ant ideas on what is causing this nuisance? [slim] new or used SB?
H, I see Slim Devices is now offering the white SQ for $250. The last time I visited the site all SB were $299, so a decent savings. I can find a used/like new SQ for $231 with shipping. I'm thinking an extra $19 for new would be worth it to have warranty. What do you think? Really do not know what kind of pricing I can find on a used SB, maybe less than the $231?
