Gday d6jg I have been running Daphile as my production LMS server for at least 3 years now. I run the latest betas and they are very stable on my old Mac Mini. Its an old Core 2 Duo 2.5ghz with 4GB ram and a 120GB SSD. Music is stored on my seperate file server. I really like the customisations on the UI, it looks and operates better than stock IMO. Plus it has a nice dark colour theme that I prefer. Give it a try, you can run it live from a Boot CD without making changes to your HDD. pufnstuf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99132 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

My Spotify also stopped working recently. I managed to get working just now by deselecting the "Always Stream via Helper" in the Spotify Protocol Handler plugin. I know it's a bit of a workaround as I would like to re-enable this option to stream via the Helper app so I can also use non-squeeze devices for Spotify playback. @bb1959 - any luck with yours so far? pufnstuf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106830 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Thank you continuing to support and improve iPeng with every release. It looks incredible on my iPad Pro and the split screen mode is a very handy feature allowing me to change/pause a track whilst still working within another app. I think I may have abandoned the LMS world a long time ago without iPeng. It reminded me that I can switch off scaling on my monitor, so that "fixed" the stretched aspect ratio. Strangely the monitor tells me it is receiving an 800x600 pixel signal, so I'm not sure why Daphile isn't sending out at least 1080p to my monitor. There aren't any settings in the UI to change that. I support sam3k's suggestions x 10! Pippin, if you get a chance take a look at subsonic music server software (www.subsonic.org) for a (rough) idea of how it's interface continually selects random album covers to view and pick from... i like it because it helps as a reminder of what albums you own. Also in regards to a stacked artist view like photos on the ipad. If you can't get artist pics can you just present the stack of that artist's album covers that exist on SBS? I believe that I can more easily recognise an artist by their album covers than by some random pic of the actual artist. (I have seen artist pics on XBMC and I'm not a huge fan.) I'm very excited about any iPeng/"iPang" release for the iPad. I'm happy to purchase again for the new platform. Thanks for already freeing me from the SBS web interface :) -- pufnstuf pufnstuf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74581 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Mac related question
Hi 53mudg35 You can perform secure, AccurateRips directly in Mac OS X without having to bother with Boot Camp etc. Just use XLD. Here is the homepage: http://tmkk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/xld/index_e.html XLD can create log files and also convert to multiple audio formats during the one rip. For example you could rip to FLAC and MP3 VBR at the same time. Handy if you want to rip a copy for your iPod as well as Squeeze device! Here is more information in the SqueezeBox WIKI: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Beginners_Guide_To_Ripping#X_Lossless_Decoder_.28XLD.29 Try it out before you setup Bootcamp, it will save you restarting everytime you want to rip some new tunes! :-D Enjoy -- pufnstuf pufnstuf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=61167 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
